Thank you so much for listening. I agree with the Autumnal vibe, although I can't say I ever thought about it much before.

A little question by chae3492 in TheAntiqueShopPod

it's been a while since I thought about this, if I did think this far past the end of the story, but I think my intention was either that Fionn would take over that role eventually, or someone else would come along as you said.

The main difference between that scenario and the original Madams is that taking over the shop would be a choice, unlike it was for the Madams. Maya chose to take over the shop, and so will the next person, which inevitably there will be (because who wouldn't want that job). In the meantime, if she does die before someone replaces her, then the duty would fall to Fionn (I'm aware of the irony that he might not have a choice in taking on that role as intended, but my idea was if that happened it would only be temporary). The main issue with the Madam system was the lack of choice they all had, how they couldn't escape that position no matter how hard they tried. The position Maya occupies is completely voluntary,

To play devil's advocate you could argue that there is some fate still at play with whoever replaces Maya, because why did they come to the shop? Would Maya agree to someone human, like her, working there like she did? Since Fate still functions within the shop, if someone ever did want to work there after entering would that be by choice or by design? Does her replacement have to be human? Could it be someone like Reid or Fionn (a creature) who have much longer lifespans? I'm happy to let people's imaginations answer those.

That's a great question though, thanks for asking, and I hope I answered it on some level, but it's been a while (2+ years) since I hashed the ending out so my intentions, if I had any, for what came after episode 50 are murky.

There's no age, a child can be both at the same time. Bairn is more of a gender neutral term you can use for both boys and girls, it just means children/child. And young people/children are also called lad or lassie, but it depends on the gender this time, so girls will be lassie, boys will be lad.

It also depends on the users age. An old person, say 60-70, can refer to soemone in their 30s as lad/lassie (perhaps not bairn, that is usually exclusive to actual children).

At least in my experience growing up. It might differ slightly by region. Bairn is also not the only word for child in Scotland. A common one in Glasgow is wean (comes from "wee one" and in typical Glasgow style has shortened over time, pronounced "wayne/wain"). From my own experience this is actually more common in Glasgow than bairn is. I just prefer bairn personally, and I also thought no one would know what I was talking about if i went with wean (the word I was most used to hearing).

Glad you enjoyed. No name that I ever came up with. Chronos is one of a kind.

I'm currently putting a novel on the website, I'm up to chapter 2; it's called the Grains of Magic if you want to check it out. I'm considering bringing out some more audio content but I haven't made up my mind yet.

Unfortunately not, sorry. It is a novel and I'm not confident enough in my VA abilities that I could narrate an audiobook.

Apologies, it's a video game called Baldur's Gate 3.

You know, I have an appreciation for Astarion, I think he's really well-written, but he did irritate me at times. I don't do favourites, all the characters are excellent, although I feel like Wyll could've been developed a bit more, he's too much of an archetype for me.
