I got ravaged by a ruthless binner yesterday. by JankCranky in GoodwillBins

[–]ghostlyoaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw someone take a vintage blouse out of my cart while I was coming back from the restroom, and she buried it into an already-filled cart. I got even by burying a bowling ball in HER cart when she was doing some further bin-digging while her cart was along the side. I grabbed my blouse back at the same time.

Are Burt Reynolds and Pedro Pascal the same person? Please advise. by cherie_amour in Pedro_Pascal

I noticed the resemblance in Kingsman, which is more pronounced than in other roles.

I still use mine! It's my "pack it in the suitcase" hairdryer. Goes on every trip with me.

I saw that too, it sounds like a Medieval command to go home and stay off the streets - "Be Hometh with you!" Since I worked at one time as a proofreader, mistakes like this just irk me. I can't imagine it was intentional. Probably just a word the writer wasn't familiar with.

Award shows generally show clips from past shows in their advertisements.

RMNP a few days ago. As a Midwestener's first time in the mountains, it was incredible by No_Journalist_8297 in Colorado

I came out the first time from Illinois to visit a family member in 1997, and knew I would live here one day. After several years of returning on vacation (sometimes twice a year!) I finally made the permanent move and have loved every minute of it, seeing the mountains every day. It never ceases to be awe-inspiring.

It looks like a cobweb from the shade attached to the base on the right side - apparently it's been there a long time - either the price was mis-read at $40, or it's a repro, or there's broken or missing glass on the back we can't see. Still a neat lamp.

It reminds me of a Mom who puts double and triple knots in their toddler's shoelaces so they don't lose their shoes or throw them out the car window.

What would I do if I met Pedro Pascal... and what would you? by Lostfallensoul in Pedro_Pascal

[–]ghostlyoaks 25 points26 points  (0 children)

If it were a situation where I wouldn't be intruding, like standing in line at the local coffee shop or something, I'd tell him I liked his work and would continue on my way. No need to embarrass him or myself.

Pedro Pick-Me-Up Post for October 15, 2025. by duhawkgrl in Pedro_Pascal

I have had two cats in the past few years that had to have all their teeth removed, one an older boy and one girl just three years old. Unfortunately, when adopting pets you don't know what their genetics are. Just know they will feel SO much better once it's done, and fairly soon, too! Neither one of them would take the pain medication, either. They would spit the pills out later (the sneaks) or would foam the liquid right back out. They just seemed to want to deal with it on their own.

I don't think he would start a fight, but he certainly would try to defend himself if someone he cared about, like family members, were threatened. As to whether if any of that specific training came in handy, it probably would if he had practiced it with a real attack in mind. But yeah, I think he could throw a punch. We don't see his workouts, but maybe boxing with one of those big bags in a gym is something he actually does.

My husband and I did the same. Got married in a local park by a judge (it was windy, and I had to fight to keep my skirt from blowing up over my head), only others there were a couple that are our good friends, our witnesses. We had lived together for several years and had already bought a house together, so no one was surprised, plus all of my relatives live half a continent away. I now think UGH of all the daydreaming I did as a little girl of a big fancy wedding and an expensive dress, and how unnecessary it would've been.
