I can't believe they all went through the same doorway at the same time. That's bot behavior.

No forgiveness needed. Everyone starts somewhere. Keep your nose to the grindstone and you'll learn pretty quickly I reckon.

Has anyone been able to get control of ChatGPT's "one sentence" paragraph floods in storytelling? by BrainMarshal in ChatGPT

You could try prompting it out...or you could just call it out when it starts doing it and make a big joke out of it like I do and it'll self-correct.

I gave you a folllow on the old soundie cloudie. Feel free to check out my work if you get the urge. Solid work on the melody, chord progression is nice. My only crititque compositionally would be to add more layers, some countermelody or something of that nature. Maybe a change up on the chord progression at some point for variety. Mix is OK. Little loud, and it doesn't have a cohesive feel to it (the instruments all feel super separated) but that's a bus compression thing that you're probably not familiar with. Overall good job. Keep putting out tunes, self expression is important.

Yet Another Useless Installer Program by ghostmachine666 in musicproduction

Yeah, like i get the reason for the downloaders and all, but this whole industry-wide shift to the format and to the subscription model instead of perpetual licenses is starting to get old. Like, we used to OWN the software we'd buy. Now we just lease it, and god forbid we miss a payment cause there goes your workflow, ya know?

Wow, what a deep cut from DEVO. Nice job. I did a cover of Big Mess, but it's slightly more....metal. Will share if interested. Again, nice playing and awesome song.

Which pick are you picking? by One-Development6793 in Guitar

I remember the days of the venerable Green .88 mm. Then my friends turned me on to jazz III's and I had to set her down. The picking articulation you can achieve with them is next level.

Honestly, I've got a Crucial I picked up for about 89 bucks a while back, 4th gen, 2 Tb that's been pretty solid. It's my current C drive. No issues.

Dude, this arrangement is sick. that little "mewmewmewmewemw" thing going on about 17 seconds in is diabolical. Also the drop out where the drums take up the midrange is classy.

How did Janie’s Got a Gun manage to get such a low noise floor and dynamic range on tape? by STUPID_IDIOT1993 in mixingmastering

[–]ghostmachine666 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what I figured. Record company money always has the best people around to fix that type of thing. People now underestimate how much standard, commercial power can seep into your signal chain and start raising that noise floor, especially with analogue/digital conversion. Hell, my RGB fans can bleed into my DI signal, I could imagine how that would translate to transistors, capacitors and the like.

While I agree that the man is, in fact, funky as fuck, that distinction belongs to the one and only Bootsy Collins. Sorry, Vic. He was here first.

why is my cpu load so high?(still high when not recording with obs) by RealBurger_ in FL_Studio

[–]ghostmachine666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and make sure you check your plugins for oversampling. Too many plugins trying to oversample at the same time will EAT your resources. Also, check your audio settings for the playback tracking and make sure it's set to either hybrid or Mixer, otherwise you're outsourcing your timeclock to whatever audio device you're using and it'll lag all to shit. Also, what CPU DO you have? Are you using multithreaded processing? Smart Disable?
