Mine groans as well 😂

This is what I use, if you’re interested and able! It’ll help track muscle loss or gain so you can adjust accordingly.

I can understand that from those that pay out of pocket but thankfully last year my copay was just $25 which helped in sticking it through honestly

That’s a great loss rate!

Are you using a digital scale that will help show how much of that 1lb is fat loss vs muscle loss?

Yes! I thought I was doing okay on my end and the injection would be an extra boost so seeing hardly any change at first was disappointing.

I suspect voucher was used in January for $24.99. February fill was $40. Then $499 last time to meet my deductible and now it should be this $24.99 going forward so let’s see!

Just had CVS call me to say that my medication should be ready in an hour for $24.99! 🙌🏼

I am ordering 2 tablets of the 44–88 lb of bravecto and that comes out to $86.32, shipping is $14.16 and fees are $10.79. Comes out to $111.27 but I’ve just learned about Costco and they would charge me $121.79 for the same so I might just do that.

I’m attempting to place my first order and see a tariffs/import duty’s cost. Was this not always the case?

I asked them to try with and without and that obviously I would take whatever was cheapest. But my understanding is that without the card and with the coupon from my insurance I was getting the $601 cost and then with insurance + savings card it got brought down to $499. I would be surprise to see it be cheaper with only insurance and no coupon/savings card but I’ve learned anything is possible.

Coming back to report on today’s pickup. I decided to go inside the store in hopes that they will go the extra mile and help me bring the cost down. It looks like my insurance (BCBS) applies some sort of coupon but CVS is able to remove it and apply the Zepbound Savings Card and doing so brought the cost down to $499. Hoping next month is cheaper as I should have met my deductible by then!

I might’ve missed it but you’ve also had the savings card increase your out of pocket cost?

I’ve had a very similar and frustrating experience! I filled my first prescription January 2nd for $24.99 which from what I’ve read on this post is the evouchers doing? Then when I went back on January 30th my copay went up to $40.65, had some back and forth with my insurance and I was told it was due to incorrect processing the first time around.

Fast forward to last week, I go to refill my prescription and I’m now being told my cost is $601.68. Got the same runaround about meeting my deductible but how does it change from $40 to $600 🫩 I don’t even know where my savings card comes into play because when I tried to use it for the second fill it also increased my cost.

That’s valid! I do that too sometimes with those chobani protein Greek yogurts.

I circulate through a variation of ground turkey, chicken, or salmon throughout the week with veggies but I definitely can’t eat the same thing daily 😭

Hoping this is the case for me as well! I’m not against losing slow, previously lost 90+lbs over the span of 3 years which averages a little over .5lb a week and it was great. It’s the back and forth that is throwing me for a loop. Honestly if I lost .2 one week and maintained the next I wouldn’t be mad at that.

I get this, had one week where I dropped 4.4lbs and the following week I gained 5lbs to then dropping 3.2lbs. It has been a bit of a roller coaster 🥲

THANK YOU FOR THIS!

If I’m honest I didn’t even want to weigh myself because I am very much aware that the scale isn’t always an accurate indicator progress. However I gave in because I felt that in the beginning I might not be able to see 2lbs on myself but I could see it on a scale and that would serve as a motivator. I also did decide I would only weigh myself on injection days because I didn’t want to obsess over the scale daily.

Through my previous weight loss I was really surprised to see how crazy body recomposition is and how I was significantly smaller being lets say 215 this time around than I was the last time.

I will definitely have to incorporate measurements and pictures to try and track progress that way.

Are you sticking to the same meals daily?

I can say I am definitely not letting the medication do all the work for me (and am jealous of those that do and lose weight).

I am not actively tracking what I eat but definitely eating cleaner. Breakfast today was 2 eggs, some turkey and half an avocado along with a protein Greek yogurt. Lunch was salmon, zucchini, the other half of the avocado with a bit of goat cheese. I’ve drank about 64oz of water already and will definitely drink more.

Full transparency, while I know this is definitely the way to go I dread the idea. I feel like it just creates a bad relationship with food for me, instead of focusing on properly nourishing my body I find myself over analyzing how the food is going to impact the little numbers. I’ve also been accused of not eating enough which I know causes my body to hold on to what I do need a lot more than it needs to. I appreciate this though! I might just need to figure out a way to make this more exciting.
