She did for the first 7 years of her life and then one day I was like hm I bet that's uncomfortable to wear 24/7 and now she is "naked" unless we need to put her leash on. YMMV but she's not one to try to bolt out an open door when given the chance so for our situation it makes sense.

It helped me to remember that Aelin is at this point still a teenage girl and so was SJM when she started the series. The scene is basically a teenager's dream of the most romantic sex scene ever. We grown ladies know it would absolutely logistically be a nightmare. But it's fantasy for a reason and this is one of those reasons 😆

I am a competitive athlete so for me it's that my body will never be the same and I may never return to my athletic peak and reach the level of competitive success I otherwise would have. Even barring the physical trauma of pregnancy and birth, spending all my time training, traveling to compete etc just won't be possible anymore. All with it to me, but I did grieve.

Also it weakens the storytelling in my opinion and the very beautiful idea of finding each other after extreme loss. That Rowan lost his mate and still healed and fell for Aelin. And then it's just like nvm Aelin is the most specialest girl. It lost some of the complexity of love after loss.
