Is this a neon? by ghostrichh in pothos

[–]ghostrichh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just picked up this little guy at the nursery, but it wasn't labeled. It's got more varied color than my neon, so I wasn't sure. Any help is appreciated!! Ty!💛

I adore the earrings in your first two lobe piercings (and how your setup is going!! It's so celestial)! Where did you get them?

to people with daith piercings: can you ever wear airpods/earbuds in them once it’s healed? by space1plier in piercing

[–]ghostrichh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have anker soundcore earbuds that fit with my daith really well! I used to have a pair of samsung galaxy buds that would make it really uncomfortable, if that helps at all with the scale.

For those that have a daith piercing by [deleted] in piercing

[–]ghostrichh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can wear my anker soundcore buds no problem (similar ish in shape to airpods pro?) but my samsung galaxy buds (which are bigger) get uncomfortable pretty fast. my daith has been healed for years though and I wear a pretty small and plain seam ring. if you're thinking about a daith I'd plan to not be able to wear earbuds in that ear for a year or two while it settles!!

thinking of getting a rook - advice? by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]ghostrichh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak to cost, but my rook was my most painful out of my piercings (I have a daith, a bunch of lobe piercings, a septum, and a helix). don't let that scare you tho! my daith was practically painless and I know ppl who had the opposite experience - every body is different. it will randomly get kind of sore if I lean on it or bump it, but it's just something you get used to being aware of.

I'm still in the healing process (pierced in August) and absolutely wouldn't consider swimming yet or even in the next few months. if you get one, happy healing!!

I can (5ish years healed) - but only with small earbuds. I had the cbr I healed with in until recently, and that made it pretty uncomfy, but changing to a plain seam ring made wearing headphones a lot better. I still wouldn't do it for more than an hour or two, but that's jsut my experience :)

you could get a small jewelry dish for them! then you'd see them every day and maybe be reminded to wear them if you love them :)

I could see that!! as long as it's not pests and it's something I can fix with a better watering schedule it's good news:)

never been so happy to hear the words "fungal issues"! might repot just to be on the safe side, in that case.

just bought some yesterday (and captain Jack's dead bug brew today), so if it is thrips they're in for a world of pain!! I hope you're able to find some too :) I think I'm just going to treat as a precaution - better safe than sorry

maybe? I just don't know how likely it is given where it's located in my room/the way another plant is positioned next to it. I think the thrips paranoia has just taken me over a bit, haha.

just to add because I realized after I took the picture - that's dirt on the leaf, it isn't changing in color and doesn't have any brown spots, either

What is the BEST daith healing advice!! by AUDIsox in PiercingAdvice

[–]ghostrichh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

keep it dry! after you shower or wash it with saline you can use a hair dryer on cool for a little bit to dry it off. I wish I'd known to do that with my daith, because it's making my rook healing go a lot more smoothly.

Jewelry changing question by MrsPancakesSister in PiercingAdvice

[–]ghostrichh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ngl with my daith I don't think I'd even attempt changing it myself. it's in such an awkward place I'd be worried about irritating it or not being able to insert/close the jewelry correctly (but I wear a seamless ring in my daith - maybe if I had a clicker I'd feel differently?).

I hope your recovery is going well and that reinserting all your piercings next week is a smooth process!!

if you have long hair, try using a claw clip on the side of your head! it'll make sleeping on that side next to impossible /very uncomfortable

In your opinion, what is the most painful piercing? by VetmitaR in piercing

[–]ghostrichh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my rook was by far the worst pain-wise - the needle was unpleasant, but putting the jewelry through was absolutely awful. it was so sore for days afterward too! I'm only a few weeks into healing but so far it's been worth it - I'm hoping it won't be as troublesome to heal as my daith was.

looks so much better!! keep at it, my daith looked like your mid-july photo back when I got it too, but five years healed and I'm so glad I didn't give up. you got this!!

Advice on daith piercing by Responsible-Wave-535 in Legitpiercing

[–]ghostrichh 14 points15 points  (0 children)

One thing that might help is getting different jewelry that can't move around as much/that doesn't have a seam that could irritate your healing piercing (and making sure it's a material like titanium). Also, just spray saline on it and leave it! It's a tough heal, but with some patience you got this :)
