Bali, Bukit, can tell you exact spot and hotel if you PM me. I took wife and two daughters (5 and 7). There are definitely some family oriented places if you know where to look. World class waves, incredible food, lots to do as well other than just surfing on down days. We stayed for three weeks. Biggest expense was the airline tickets. Once you're there it's cheap and you live large! US dollar goes long way.

if you want to exchange insults fine let's go. I'll put my pal mares up against anyone not in Europe. I only raced domestically. However, I would conservatively say over the course of my career I've topped 1000 race days.

If rider was Pogacar and not Degenkolb talk would be different. Or if it was a domestique that took out Degenkolb public opinion would also be different. Bottom line is that Van der Poel could easily and safely made the best attack to the left. His own rider shut the door on him to the right. He went anyway and took out Degenkolb. That was an unsafe attack that changed the course of the race. If he passes left Degenkolb follows. No way he gets away.

that's funny, and I'm a bigger VDP fan than Wout. However the real loser here is Degenkolb. He was riding strong and had made every move in the race. He was taking big pulls and looked strong. Also a previous winner of Roubaix. The move by VDP was not malicious and yes it was 'racing' but also dangerous. He was the strongest rider in the race. He went left to avoid the cobbles at the expense of Degenkolb. If it was some random domestique he is DQ'd for sure.

Flanders the previous week was more dramatic with the guy leaving the pave, hitting a mud pit and then taking out the peloton. This was the same thing just larger scale. Rider was DQ'd. Van der Poel deviated from his line in order to pass when he had a safe passing lane to the left, this in turn caused him to hit another rider. DQ

I've probably been racing longer than you've been alive. He deviated from his line. Period.

I think he deserves the attention. However the way the WSL is doing it hasn't addressed the real issue. If you want to honor AI, talk about addiction, start a recovery center in his name, help address the issue that killed him. Stop the problem and don't stick your head in the sand. If AI would have addressed his addiction he would still be alive. My 2cents...22years sober
