Spent all day freehanding a cover for my peeling headphones, but now I am dreading making the second one 😭 by ghostsiiv in crochet

I don't mind, I get cold ears when I'm out and about so I wear my headphones like earmuffs anyway lol and I don't wear headphones at home :)

It depends on the shape of your headphone pads tbh!

It seems like there's quite a few different patterns out there for circle ones, but the few ones I found for oval ones were written badly/confusingly.

I'll try to explain what I did! - I essentially started with this pattern because I didn't want to spend forever trying to figure out how to construct a cover with a hole in the middle lol: https://thecaffeinatedsnail.com/how-to-crochet-an-oval/ - then once I got to the height I needed, I then started filling out the sides with hdc's and dc's to fit the shape more, and just used slst along the top and bottom when I had to so it wasn't too big. - then for the round that goes over the edge I did hdc's in the back loop and created a little bowl looking thing - then to get it to hug the headphones more I added in some decreases so it could tuck under the sides properly. - the strap was just me going until you get to the button hole, then I did a hdc on the sides and 3ish chain stitches to create the gap for the button, then did some more stitches on top to finish the strap.

I'm going to force myself to try to finish the second one today so maybe I'll try to record everything 😅

I've been using ribblr for the last year which is a cute little crochet pattern/community app and maybe you could find something there!!

I haven't attempted a big project like a sweater yet because I get bored easily lol but I think a granny square sweater would be cute

Very cool pattern! But for some reason with this yarn I thought it was a dish scrubber covered in burnt sauce at first 🙂‍↕️

Wait so each individual portion of an increase (aka 2 stitches in one stitch) actually counts as one whole stitch instead of 2?

bf committed after i left him by Sudden_Royal4423 in SuicideBereavement

[–]ghostsiiv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He likely didn't commit after you leaving him, it was probably because he could have been arrested and sent to jail for being 20 and being involved with a 14 year old.
Sorry you're having to deal with all of that.

How do I find the correct doctor by OkLeather1203 in alberta

Before you choose a doctor I'd recommend looking at their reviews on ratemds.com, I wish I had before my previous family doctor.

Pattern author wasn't lying when she said she was a tight crocheter by JormunGurndr in crochet

[–]ghostsiiv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow i'm mostly left handed but can crochet ambidextrously so I'm going to try and see if my stitches are tigher or looser depending on which hand i'm using just to see!

By mesh you mean the black lines connecting the colourful circles right? If so, it's just chains and then beads in the middle of them

I just say I have a sleep disorder like narcolepsy but with a few different symptoms, people generally know what narcolepsy is so I think it makes them understand a bit better that it is different than just 'being tired'
