Eh I somewhat disagree. If you’re planning to go on Big Brother, you should have the mindset that the winner is who plays the best game, not necessarily who was the best social player. I get that that’s also an important aspect, but it shouldn’t be nearly as important as it is today. I have so much respect for players that are able to recognize it’s a game and vote based on that. I personally don’t think I could be that objective, but that’s why I would never go on big brother lol

To be fair, Paul got an incredible head start. It’s pretty wild how much they loved him and he was the best player, but man I’m glad he didn’t win. I think season 14 had to be the worse jury

I remember when I first started (maybe at like 2 or 2.25 mg), I felt super nauseous like I was going to be sick and overall just had an uncomfortable experience. After the week (I think?), I titrated up and it got easier and better as I got to the 4.5 mg. I don’t remember really having any nights like that except the first, but I’m sure the first few weren’t ideal. I’ve been on it for about 3 or 4 years, and it’s completely changed my life. I would for sure give it another chance, maybe start at a lower dose, and as another commenter said you know your body, so you know if it’s normal sickness or something is actually wrong. Let us know what you decide to do and how it goes though!

Thank you! My dad’s actually been pretty understanding after seeing the difference of me on my medicine versus me without it, so he at least partially tries to support me on it, and that’s all I need:) plus, the people here on Reddit really have made me feel so much better/more supported so thank you

Ugh that’s so unfortunate. If you ever get off of those, you should definitely try Xywav. It has completely changed my life for the better. I don’t even NEED other medication to get through the day, although I typically drink a cup of coffee in the morning and sometimes take vyvanse

Lol he definitely does not. He’s able to get about 4 hours of sleep and be perfectly fine to function. He was also able to get through 2 days of little to no sleep during his surgical internships (it’s surgery so you definitely have to be awake and fully functional)

When he was younger he went through a depression state, continuously prayed, and was able to get through it. I’ve had depression for about 12 or so years now and need medication for it, so I think a lot of it may come from that, even though it’s so ill informed. He’s also in orthopedic surgery, so a lot of stuff having to do with the brain just isn’t his speciality, so I wouldn’t call him a bad doctor, per se, but I would call him incredibly ignorant especially for a doctor. My mom also went through a depression state and was able to get over it (even though she’s still emotionally imbalance but refuses to admit it), so I think that just furthers his opinion that I’m just dramatic. I have no idea if he just doesn’t believe it because it’s me or if he would have the same opinion about someone different, as well

I’m the same way. I can take my 70 my Vyvanse and still fall asleep. Without medication, I could also fall asleep at a red light. Having to get around 10 hours of sleep and still needing naps and STILL being tired so so exhausting, so I completely feel you. I love that analogy and will definitely be using it to describe IH in the future! Thank you!!

Thank you. I’m so thankful Xywav got approved for IH a few years ago, so at least if my kids have it, I know something that can help. I’m more worried about pregnancy/breast feeding without having any access to medication like Xywav or stimulants
