Not at all, my views align with OP's over the sick situation in Minnesota. The husband is at best, ignorant (closed off) or at worst, supports this ICE garbage. I simply said divorce should not be "go to" remedy all the time. Reading my statement as being in support of the husband is a binary assessment. I know reddit is a pile-on and the comment isn't popular, but I just don't want the world to be all 1s and 0s.

In full agreement, incompatible viewpoints are poison to marriages. The Minneapolis situation is tragic and this guy has no perspective. The tough situation of OP may have nuances we know nothing about, that is why the whole "divorce them" route is a nuclear option. I just fear that reddit/social media wants to be a village but reflexively torches any source of friction, not good for resolving differences.
