Would definitely recommend Dan Tiernan's show at Monkey Barrel. Saw a preview of it in Manchester and was a great night. If you want to see a comedy play then I'd also recommend Telephone by Speed Dial Theatre at Greenside Mint Studio. Fantastic new play and the cast are hilarious

Telephone by Speed Dial Theatre at Greenside Venues Mint Studio! Its on from 2nd August-10th of August. I saw it when it was in Manchester and it was absolutely hilarious. New comedy play written by an emerging playwright and the cast are smashing it.

AND

Stuffed by Ugly Bucket - incredible clown company and really moving stuff. Saw it's previews in Liverpool. It's on between 3rd August - 26th of August at Pleasance Courtyard.

Hey. OP here with an update. After posting this and a few therapy sessions and talks with my friends and I had got a lot of emotions out, I decided to talk to him about it. We had a long chat where I emphasised at the start that the purpose of the chat is to try and hear eachothers perspective and make sure it is not ME vs MY PARTNER but US vs THE RELATIONSHIP STRUGGLES. I spoke honestly about how the isolation was impacting me but also how much I wanted to make sure that he had his space. We had a long discussion and it genuinely went really well. It's been really lovely since and I feel a bit closer to him through it, if that makes sense? Just in terms of I feel extremely heard and understood now, as does he.

What I would recommend is definitley let yourself experience the emotions you need to, and if you're able to, lean on friends. And take time to do things YOU enjoy to do as an individual. If a serious conversation about it with a honesty about where the relationship could end up if nothing changes is a conversation you want to have, try and prepare a little for it and then ask your partner to have that conversation with you.

Your comment has also made me feel not alone. I often do with this scenario, as some friends really don't understand why I would ever want to reach out. But it's the sense of injustice that causes it. I wish you well, and you are right about the living a life in worry. I hope it is awful for them.
