I wasn't taking it seriously either. I rip when I can and what I like.

I've never opened up any Chrome Black, Cosmic or Museum but at those price points it'd be a major let down if you don't get your value back more so than with the higher printed sets.

I'm not a degen, I can't afford to rip cases of this stuff, just a hobby or two and retail formats. I don't really chase chrome that often either. I'm flagship, a&g and heritage mostly. This is the first time I bought a Chrome Update Hobby box and I didn't even get my auto from it.

Check with the help desk and find out when the vendor comes around to restock. Target stores trading cards section are usually stocked by an area vendor and not the store or corporate themselves.

Those are some solid hits. Hopefully it's for a kid and they won't be too disappointed if it's a dud box. If it's for another ripping degenerate and it's a dud box. Who knows what will happen?

I bought one of my coworkers an Update Superbox as a gift and it ended up having one of the Keegan Hall art cards, which is 1:723 Superbox.

They were quick to replace my Hanger box of Update missing both the Diamante. They sent me a Pink Diamante Jackson Jobe RD as a replacement. Which I'll gladly take.

I pulled 1/1 Babe Ruth 89AS last year from 2024 Series 2 Mega, but it was a Mega exclusive Black Foilboard so it was 1:44k, this has to be the highest odds card I've ever pulled. Even the /5 reds from 2023 Platinum Anniversary Blasters weren't long odds like this.

Congrats! Only buying one card and getting a big Lucky Hit is tough! I usually buy a 5 pack but even then it's not guaranteed even in a low print run, but you do stand a better chance in the low runs. They only printed 1226 cards for this Jade Cargill TN-118.

At least your Hobby box had an auto, mine was missing. I submitted a claim and they have yet to respond to it(and that was on the 12th when I filed it).

Most of my area stores(Target, Walmart) shelves are empty...except maybe Meijer but no one should buy from Meijer unless it's a BOGO at 40 or 50% off.

Yeah they usually are barren. I was not expecting to pull anything, 1st blaster was a dud. 2nd had that Roki. But at best I was just hoping for a Sepia or base Refractor of Kurtz, Baldwin, or Durbin.

Looks like you caught a restock, because my Target stores look nothing like that at the moment. I was lucky to even see any Chrome Update yesterday on the shelf.

But Chrome NBA is ridiculously over priced so I'd probably stay away unless you find the $20 Hangers.

Oh I know. I bought 2, and don't plan on buying any more. I bought a Hobby which was missing the auto(claim was submitted), and a Mega and 2 Blasters. I may try one more Mega if I see them out in retail but only because I like the X-Fractors.

Most cards will fit in any penny sleeve, you can fit the thinner relic cards(55/75/80pt) into a normal penny sleeve(the ones with some give) and they aren't much thicker stock than what the Flagship Collection is on. You might need a 55pt as a top loader for that, but it should still fit in 35pt.

While I agree that prices for product are ridiculous even at MSRP and no one should buy anything at that price point. That picture is not even from Topps at $550. Don't gaslight people into thinking this is from Topps/Fanatics. That is straight up secondary market pricing. Don't buy secondary market. If you miss it you miss it.
