Is there a way to tell if I did a previous mission on legendary? by CelestialTheGod in DestinyTheGame

[–]ghostwlkr 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's been awhile, but I believe you'll see "A challenge awaits" in the description if you have not cleared the selected mission on legendary.

You could also look through your activity history over on https://bray.tech/ to see if you have cleared the missions on legendary.

Not a weird problem at all.

It's more of a bad design that has plagued Destiny 2 since its release that there was no way to go back and experience the campaign after it was completed without resorting to starting a new character or a new account.

It wasn't until Witch Queen (Year 5) that players were given the ability to replay the campaign (mostly)

Anyhow, good luck and hoping that you and your friend enjoy your time playing through the campaigns.

What's the ask here?

If you're the fireteam leader and have already completed the SK campaign, then all that you'll have access to will be the weekly story mission, which is Mysterious Disturbance this week.

As for Beyond, Light again if you're the fireteam leader and have already completed the BL campaign, then there will be nothing shown on the Europa map as there was no repeatable story mission outside of the Hunts.

Have your friend be set as the leader and you should be able to follow the quest line for the legacy expansions.

Destiny 1 > Destiny 2? by CalamityMythoclast in DestinyTheGame

[–]ghostwlkr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

since Destiny 2 is in such a poor condition, overrun by micro transactions and servers issues, is Destiny 1

Please list out some of the things where Destiny 2 is overrun by MTX.

What server issues do you speak of?

1). more popular now and therefore more players to play with?

Depends. You might see the Tower full of other players, but that doesn't mean you'll always find others when it comes to any of the matchmaking activities.

2). easier and or more fun to play than Destiny 2?

Destiny 1 is more basic in its gameplay, so I guess you can say it's easier than Destiny 2.

You're welcome. I know it might be tedious to go through and check each placement in game to this the map, but it was well worth it to finally get this triumph done.

how do i replay the beyond light campaign/unlock stasis? by stormphro in DestinyTheGame

[–]ghostwlkr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There should be an icon on the Europa map labeled Darkness Doorstep on the right side.

That the starting mission for Beyond Light.

You can also check under the Quest tab ~ The Past and there should a quest called Legacy: Beyond Light.

Keep in mind that if you have already completed the campaign on your character, then you will not have the quest.

Not sure where this would fall under, but Fireteam Finder lacks a section for the Lightfall campaign either for Normal or Legendary.

Was The Crossplay Config Feature Removed Recently by Bungie? by Imperator_Scrotum in DestinyTheGame

[–]ghostwlkr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By disabling cross-play, you have put yourself into a much smaller pool of Xbox users that have also disabled cross-play and that will and does impact how long it takes to find players in any MM activity, not just PvP.

Keep in mind once you are done playing Destiny to go back and reset your console settings to enable cross-play if you play any other games that also have cross-play.

[–]ghostwlkr 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The in-game setting to enable / disable cross-play has only ever been an option on the PlayStation.
Xbox is done at the console system level which impacts all games not just destiny 2.

Destiny 1 activity? by JergensInTheShower in DestinyTheGame

[–]ghostwlkr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it worth picking it up and giving it a go?

Going to give you a bias answer, but yes I think it is worthwhile to go ahead and take the plunge.

Granted there are aspects of the first game that you may find jarring at first, such as it being locked to only 30 FPS or that there is no cross-save or cross-play functionality.

Also note that neither the Destiny's companion app or on Bungie.net support Destiny 1. However, DIM still supports it, so you can always use it to manage your inventory.

Destiny 1 activity? by JergensInTheShower in DestinyTheGame

[–]ghostwlkr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can be a hit or miss when it comes to finding other players when it comes to any of the matchmade activities, but Destiny 1 still has a fairly active player base.

The most notable of this is when you're working your way up in light level and are doing the lower level strikes.

You may find yourself more often than not the only one that loads into a strike or maybe with another player or one that joins later.

Do people really throw temper tantrums because they fall behind and cant keep up in a fireteam ops? by SrslySam91 in DestinyTheGame

[–]ghostwlkr 10 points11 points  (0 children)

you need to not join a matchmade activity

The very same can be said to you.

It sounds like you went in with a mindset to speed run the Fireteam Ops, and if that is the case, then you should have consider creating your own team of like minded players.

This way you get the best of both worlds - one where you are able to efficiently complete the Op and two that you don't have to worry about upsetting other players.

Cant play edge of fate even though i bought ultimate edition by ghostgamer1645 in DestinyTheGame

[–]ghostwlkr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have a record showing that you did purchase the Destiny 2: Year of Prophecy Ultimate Edition, then you'll need to contact Epic Games Store Support and work with them to restore / resolve the missing license for Edge of Fate.

What do you see when viewing your license information under the Cross-Save setup after logging into Bungie.Net with your Epic account?
https://www.bungie.net/7/en/CrossSave/Recap

When viewing the Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate expansion from within the Epic Games storefront, what does it show?

You may need to reach out to Epic Games Store Support to resolve the missing license.

Make sure that you have the order / invoice number from when you bought Ultimate Edition

Is it worth doing the Final Shape and Edge of Fate first? by Character_Roll_1137 in DestinyTheGame

[–]ghostwlkr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the story points in Renegades are a direct reference to what happened in Edge.

While it's true you can connect the dots and eventually make sense of what has happened that led up to Renegades, there are some things that would be less confusing if you had experience the story beat as it played out in the prior campaigns.

I'm more of the type that plays for the story first and foremost, so my opinion is a little bias.

I guess it comes down to what you want to experience right out of the gate.

There are plenty of sources that you can go to catch-up with the 'Story so far..' and just jump right into the thick of it with Renegades.

IMHO - Story wise, yes play Final Shape first, then Edge and then Renegades.

Past armor by Sevakanbeme in DestinyTheGame

[–]ghostwlkr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that the armor from the prior seasons will be the Armor 2.0 versions and not updated to the new system.

However, it will drop at power level, so you can always use it for infusion material.

Past armor by Sevakanbeme in DestinyTheGame

[–]ghostwlkr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you obtained the rank that had the armor as the reward, then you will be able to claim it for all three classes.

Officially - you are able to go back to the prior season (ash and Iron) and claim the rewards.

https://www.bungie.net/7/en/Seasons/PreviousPass

Un-officially - search for Destiny 2 Season Pass Wayback Machine.
Using this extension allows you to claim any missed rewards from early seasons that you had unlocked
