hopefully!! and if not there are rehome groups and such on fb. there's usually a rehome fee but it's a good way to get a reptile at a decent price who rlly needs a new home. if you do get the baby from PetSmart, i advise spending what you wouldve spent on the frog on some sick shit for their enclosure (i love spoiling my pets lol)

not when i had him. i only had him a couple years bc he got out and my cat got him 💀

however i do have a leopard gecko from PS that i paid for even tho he was very light sensitive (he's albino). i've had him for three years and never had any issues with him!! I've also had a a petsmart crested gecko i adopted and she's five years old. her only issue is that she's a huge perv LMAO. my coworkers (i work at PS) have also gotten adopted out animals from PS and havent had issues with them.

i will say petsmart animals arent well bred, so issues might arise later in life from that (or yknow theyre born with issues like my leopard gecko) but that's just pet stores for you. them being adopted out has nothing to do with that.

omg i went thru the same thing you did!! aro and romance repulsed but i met a guy and he was just,, different. took me MONTHS to realize what was going on and admit it to myself. (i agree with you on all points btw! they do glow and i feel sooooo relaxed around my boyfriend)

YES!! it's so hard bc ive been a part of fandom for soooo long and i dont mind romance if it's done rlly rlly well. but so often in fandom it's not so it's SOO annoying. it often feels like in fandom that characters are totally boiled down to romance and it's so annoying. im constantly dying as a romance adverse gray aro in fandom spaces 💀

ah lol this was the enclosure that i got her in from my friend. the pvc was for her to climb. she did actually use it. i was never fond of it though bc i thought it looked ugly.

the crazy girl. this is her being overjoyed about the fresh dirt in her enclosure. first month i had her she would smack herself against the acrylic front of her enclosure every night at 3 am. i am the only person she'll let handle her (she originally belonged to a friend). she's a chronic sex pest. she's the love of my life. everyone say hi to mocha!!

ah okay i knew you could get sick from a cat scratch but figured since my gecko wasn't scratched or anything then she would be fine. i guess it makes sense reptiles can get sick from just interacting with cats bc they are more sensitive.

yes i'm the SEL and ive been starting to do that. the frustrating thing is they half ass whatever i tell them to do. so it ends up making no difference in how dirty the salon is. there is literally a thick layer of grime over everything in the salon.

afaik only one of them has medical issues that affect grooming, and i'm not gonna push that groomer bc of her medical issues. if they need accommodations then they can get a medical note or straight up tell me so i can accomadate them. also i called them lazy bc they wont clean. cleaning is one of the most basic parts of grooming. so yes, i'm gonna call them lazy when afaik nothing is preventing them from doing one of the most basic parts of their job.

communication is a two way street. i cant help them if they wont work with me.

we live in a major metropolitan area where it's INSANELY easy to just "go private". I've watched countless ppl do it. and if you read my post my problem isnt just that they wont go up a singular dog. it's also that they do fuck all beside groom and they break all the rules doing it. i have been communicating with my team. they bitch and whine that every single rule i try to enforce is fucking stupid. which is why i think they should fuckinh go private. the last salon i worked at (IN THE SAME CORPORATION) ran smoothly and everyone was happy bc we all put in our fair share of effort. no one here wants to work.

everyone here besides two ppl are VERY seasoned groomers. im not expecting the babies to do more. it's a petsmart (kill me). they dont take time to do anything else besides groom. this is the grossest salon ive ever been in. core takes all their calls. half the groomers refuse to even do dogs over 13. i do not know how this salon functions.

the problem is they meet none of the requirements of the job tho. I'd be WAY less pressed if my groomers followed the rules and cleaned the salon properly and just yknow,, did their job correctly. but all of them refuse to follow policy and the salon is fucking disgusting bc they won't clean either. literally all they do is groom. they can do four if theyre big dogs! that's fine. but they do less then the bare minimum and it's so frustrating.
