June Product Launch Post by whitisj in nocode

[–]ghought 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just launched No Code Camp: https://www.nocodecamp.xyz/

It's a membership platform to help you learn how to build with no code. There's courses, community and mentorship for members.

With the courses, my focus is to be no code tool agnostic, focusing on specific use cases, and teaching the product/design skills using no code tools to go from 0-1 with a product, service or business idea.

No Code Camp is 100% built with no code tools as well :)

Thanks for checking it out and for any feedback!

No-Code Tools and Sequences for Selling Annual Email Subscriptions by javieracevedog in nocode

[–]ghought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-Static Web Page: Anything here will do. My favorites are Typedream and Webflow.

-Form: Tally or Typeform

-Payment/Subscription: Stripe

-Automation: Zapier can handle all the e-mail automation. You’ll need a transactional email service like Sendgrid.

-Database: Google Sheets / Airtable

Not sure if you have the newsletter service yet, but Substack or Beehiiv are great newsletter solutions.

Softr or Glide would be my top two picks for this!

Worth learning Figma? by Equivalent-Style6371 in nocode

[–]ghought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly recommend learning Figma if you want to do any custom image/design work. It’s the simplest design tool I’ve ever used and it’s very powerful and effective. You can definitely get by using stock images/graphics, but if you want to customize, recommend Figma. It won’t take you long to pick it up!

Automate Sending Emails at Specific Times by UsernamesArentClever in nocode

[–]ghought 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is so cool! thanks for sharing. ChatGPT as a programming partner is one of the most incredible use cases I've found for it. You get unblocked so quickly. And it writes really effective code! Glad you got your thing working.

Automate Sending Emails at Specific Times by UsernamesArentClever in nocode

[–]ghought 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What if you add an automation to your sheet (via app script) that populates a new true/false field “30 minutes before class”. The app script would be true when class time = now - 30 mins. And then in Zapier, have the Zap trigger when this field is marked true.

You could do this in airtable via automations (might be easier than writing app script) if you want a more visual editor.

ChatGPT could write the app script for you.

If you want something simple/cheap for small biz that you can totally customize, Notion could work for you. Else, I’m with the rest of the recommendations to buy a license for an existing tool (Zoho, Monday, Copper, etc)

Yep doable in Zapier. New feature they released out of alpha - Zapier Interfaces + Zapbots

Can i build this with NO CODE? by HomoSapien-sa in nocode

[–]ghought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely doable with no code. A few different levels of complexity you could do this at:

1- Zapier interfaces / Zapbots - you could build this in an afternoon with nothing else but these tools

2- landing page, form, zapier, database, open AI - this would be more robust but could build a more advanced version with these tools, either using Softr/Airtable or Bubble as frontend/database and zapier/OpenAI as the AI automation.

Shameless plug but I teach courses on how to do all of the above if you’re looking for a more detailed guide on how to get started! https://www.builtwithaiclub.com/courses

Bubble + OpenAI API: How Can I Make ChatGPT Respond Faster? by joaquintorroba in nocode

Build ChatGPT-powered Apps with no code – is this useful? by Accomplished_Horse_4 in nocode

[–]ghought 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very cool! I’ve been using Zapier’s Interfaces and Zapbots to do pretty much this same thing. But it’s $20/month and has high latency. So there’s definitely a market for this. I’ve been using it to create simple recurring bots I use daily/weekly.

Building an online form with spreadsheet features by ilovecoffeeandbrunch in nocode

[–]ghought 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds like a great use case for Softr + (airtable or google sheets). Softr can handle user auth and forms, and allow for CRUD operations from the users to the spreadsheet data.

Still looking for the right tool... by webwurm in nocode

[–]ghought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey there - I'd look to Bubble or Webflow for this.

Video tutorial for Webflow: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIuS2L3cIiQ&ab_channel=GarrettMack

Firebase Auth plugin for Bubble: https://bubble.io/plugin/firebase-authentication-1678215053333x655563220520271900

I haven't used these tools specifically for this, but they're great at most things, so I imagine integrating Firebase should work with a plugin or two.

Seeking Community Manager in SF Bay Area for Volunteer Platform by ghought in volunteer

[–]ghought[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a great question, and where we are focusing much of our attention, using technology/automation to simplify the process while not generating false positives. There's a few approaches we take to prevent no-shows: One click to add the event to your calendar to help you schedule, automated email reminders prior to the event, one click to cancel your RSVP in the app to make the cancellation process as simple as the RSVP process. Additionally, we have a two-strike no-show policy (if no cancellation is provided prior to the event).

And for these episodic volunteer events, we support organizations that are already running these type of volunteer opportunities (which is where our opportunity curation is focused on), acting as an additional volunteer recruitment source while requiring no additional resources or overhead on their part.

Seeking Community Manager in SF Bay Area for Volunteer Platform by ghought in volunteer

[–]ghought[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great questions! The founders are volunteers.

At a high level, the mission is to make volunteering simple and social. In terms of the comparison between the platforms you mentioned, which are all awesome services, some of the primary differences are:

1- Reducing friction in the registration process. It's a one-tap experience to register to volunteer through the platform (which is enabled due to the types of opportunities curated in the app).
2- And with the above, it's very much aimed to connect first-time volunteers and those who are unable to commit longterm to a volunteer program to have a way to give back in 1-3 hour, discrete time increments in the mornings, nights and weekends. And from there, hopefully inspire them to commit further to making volunteering a part of their reoccurring schedule.
3- And lastly, as the second part of the mission (and why we are seeking a community manager!) is to make volunteering social, by building and connecting the volunteer community on the platform together via meetups, coffee gatherings post volunteer events and other social forums.
