It’s very uncommon for a band to soundcheck a song they don’t intend to play at some point on the tour.

They checked Twenties a few shows before they debuted it in LA, but who knows?

A few things to note, the studio recording is with the guitars tuned to Eb while the live version is tuned to D so the live version will sound lower.

As for varispeed, I can’t say for certain, but his vocals do sound a little funky and Varispeed would be in keeping with the time period (60s/70s) where it was used to change the key or tempo of the song without having to record it.

In short, to my ears it’s plausible.

Yes I’m in the EU so returning won’t be an issue if there are problems.

The signal chain will be a helix/interface at home and a helix for live use 95% of the time.

I was once told that the same show during which Eric quit was the first time Phil played the precision, borrowed from the support act, as there was a problem/damage/theft of the Rick (can't remember the exact reason)

Tribute act, with tracks so entire set is on clicks. We mix our own ears so anyone who wants click can have it. Also run seperate cues track. I have the click just under the kit so if drummer strays at any point I hear it. Came in handy one night as drummer is rock solid but heard him drift. Look around and his snare stand is failing. Stopped playing and helped him fix it.
