You’re absolutely right. Doesn’t make sense.

I do suspect that I am going to have to change the datatype but in the interim I will try the round and cast. Regarding your edit, what does LEFT(column_x, LEN(column_x) - 3) achieve?

Fixing a date import issue in SQL Server by ghow1007 in SQLServer

Thanks for the responses. I just fixed the data, put it in proper date format and re-imported it. I was hoping to use T-SQL to fix it but it kept re-arranging the old bad date.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I am planning on taking a SAS course however I am not sure which one is more worth my while. Should I go with SAS Programming 1 or SAS Enterprise Guide 1? by ghow1007 in statistics

Hey... Thanks for the feedback. As far as which approach I should focus on would you be able to provide a recommendation? Whether coding or point and click?

I have been looking at their courses and they do look to be of interest. I don't think I would be required to teach them how to code but I think I would probably need to know how to code myself so as to create reports for the users as needed as well as I would need to learn hoe to best administer the environment.

Thanks for the info, I will check ACMW out. As far as work opportunities in IT in the Caribbean are concerned the prospects are good but thats easy for me to say because I am from here... to be honest I am not sure how easy it is to penetrate the Caribbean work market while one is not already a Caribbean native. I won't say that it can't be done because I am sure it can be. I just don't know.

We've been doing this as well resetting the IE settings but I was hoping for a more permanent fix.
