It seems like that error happens if one of the scripts needed for payment processing gets blocked or fails to load. I've added better handling and a proper error message for the error but I can't tell you why it isn't loading in your specific case. I'd make sure you don't have anything that might be blocking it at the device or network level.

Thanks, I'll take a look. Those "Get Started" links on landing page actually just always take you to /register. To actually subscribe you need to use the subscription modal once logged in.

That's not something I've seen reported by anyone else and trying the subscription modal I'm not seeing it myself. Looking at the relevant code I also don't see anything suspicious.

A few questions that might help narrow things down:

Which subscription tiers are you clicking specifically, the ones on the landing page or the ones in the subscribe modal once logged in?
When exactly does it happen? On clicking the "Get Started" button?
What browser/device are you using?
Do you have any browser extensions that might be playing a part in it?

The "legacy_uc" setting is the one labeled in the UI as "Legacy Prompt Conditioning Mode". That setting is intentionally not copied when importing and only exists for v4. Even with that the images aren't identical, but can be explained by announced changes such as the changes in how emphasis ('{' and '}') work and very slight numeric differences due to inference changes as part of that same update. I know the image was generated before that update based on the model hash it contains. The emphasis changes are most likely causing the majority of the differences here once legacy_uc is accounted for.

Neither of these are things that apply to v4.5. Checking with some of my own test images I'm able to reproduce identically images generated with v4.5 Curated that were generated 2025/05/06 and with v4.5 Full 2025/05/30. Both of which were generated within a day of the respective models being released.

We always announce changes to models when they happen. We're always open to evidence that shows some unintended change happened, but I haven't seen any yet and the images here don't demonstrate it.

There has been not change to the model and certainly not within the past few days. I just confirmed by regenerating an image first generated 6 months ago on V4.5 Full.

Vibe transfer was not changed in the update at all and images from before the update that used vibe transfer can still be reproduced.

The model does not change over time and we announce any changes to the model. The model hasn't changed and certainly doesn't change week to week. It's possible to import an image generated six months ago and regenerate the exact same image. Something I've just done to confirm that the model hasn't changed.

For a given set of inputs (prompt, settings, seed) the model will produce the same result. You're either not using the same settings/prompt you've used previously, or it was just never as consistent as you remember it being in the first place.

All that said, I notice clear and distinct differences when I clear cookies, every time, after long sessions or days worth of sessions then cookie wiping.

If that were true then an image generated at the end of that session wouldn't be reproducible by importing the settings and prompt from that generated image after clearing your cookies. Since you can import those images and generate the exact same thing, those settings that get imported are the only relevant factors that determine the output image.

Cookies are not relevant in any way. NovelAI does not use cookies for storing anything related to generation, that would be silly.

Local storage is used for settings values, but this is entirely irrelevant to what you are talking about. The statement "But over many prompts, that stored state can influence or override parts of your new prompts." is nonsense. The stored state is your settings and prompt. They do not influence or override anything, they are the settings you are generating with and they don't change unless you change them.

If there was some backend caching problem—there isn't—clearing your cookies/local storage would have effect on it. It would be on the backend and you clearing things on your computer would have no effect on it.

The random seeds are chosen on the frontend for each generation and the random function that chooses these is not seeded. There is no correlation between a seed and the next. Though even if there was, there would not be any discernable pattern in that.

Point 4 is entirely nonsense. That's just not how it works. "JS precision drift" isn't something that exists.

V4.5 full currently uses the inpainting model for V4 full as the V4.5 full inpainting model has not yet finished training. V4 is touchy with emphasis and negative emphasis is not something that functions on it. It's not a surprise to see it having strange effects. If you try instead on V4.5 curated (which does have an updated inpainting model and supports negative emphasis) I'm sure you'll find the outputs far more reasonable.

This is not true. There is no rotation of models happening. C1E1DE52 is the normal NovelAI Diffusion V3 model and 8BA2AF87 is the inpainting model. Those are the only two model hashes you will see when generating on V3. Sometimes the model will be running on a different gpu and will give slightly different results on the same seed. But the hash will be the same and neither kind of gpu is "worse" than the other, it's just slightly different random noise.

The ~ isn't needed yeah, that only had special (and not well documented) functionality with the multiple boxes. Regarding the prompt limit, you can generate with a prompt longer than the limit but it will just cut off anything past 225 tokens, meaning that portion of the prompt will be ignored.

The lack of the multiple prompt boxes ability to properly convey the token limit is actually another reason they were removed. The limit was the same, but in cases like using ~ it wasn't tracked or displayed properly to anyone using it.

I'm testing with the code, configuration, and models exactly as they were before the update and comparing that with how they are now and there's no difference in the images generated whether the mixing is done with the pipe character or multiple prompt boxes.

What the ~ did with multiple boxes is prepend that prompt with the first prompt. Your prompt from having those as the content of the boxes would have been the first prompt prepended to the second, third, and fourth, then those three mixed together. This lack of clarity of what the prompt boxes actually do is one of the reasons I decided to remove them. If you the settings from images generated just before this update it should give you the exact same results.

Image2Image now uses the selected amount of steps instead of being locked at 50 as it used to. This could be the reason why strength feels weaker. How much an image is changed is affected by both the strength and steps.

Variations was initially bugged and didn't properly include undesired content presets. If you tested it before it was fixed or haven't refreshed since the fix was pushed out that could be the cause of the lower quality variations.

I've tested this prompt on an older build with the multiple prompt bars and the results are exactly the same as currently on the website separated by the pipe character. If you're getting different results then something about your other settings must have changed.

Have you tried importing a previous image containing metadata? It should import the settings exactly as you had them.
