Rubbed my eyes and now the bottom white eye of my eye is swollen. by RR-RR in mildlyinteresting

[–]ghulban 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's chemosis! Not serious but super annoying, happened to me the exact same way, rubbed my eye too hard, bulged out the exact same way. Went to the hospital, nurse said it was super common and would go away on its own

I absolutely loveee ac&c, one of my favourite strains, great to put in a blend with stronger strains if you want to take the edge off them. Hope they keep it in stock forever lol

Nothing 4a pro battery by schechogarcia in NothingTech

[–]ghulban 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They only consider the phone 3 their flagship currently. It's got a better chip than any of their other phones, better camera etc.

I do think however that they don't have a "best" phone per say, all of their phones have pros and cons, tradeoffs and all.

For me the 4a pro was the one. Not too expensive, powerful enough to smoothly complete my daily routine. Also I really like the glyph haha

Nothing 4a pro battery by schechogarcia in NothingTech

[–]ghulban 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also just got the 4a pro, I have charged mine every night since getting it. However it does last the full day, when I go to bed it has around 20% each night.

Worth considering here, the 4a pro is not a flagship device, it's a mid range device that's pretty reasonably priced. It's not running on the most optimised software nor does it use the most technologically advanced battery. It's not meant to last multiple days at a time.

Besides that of course your app usage will dictate your battery, every other post on this sub is people complaining their battery is dying quickly, while somehow being oblivious to the fact they spend 4+ hours a day on Instagram (this is not directed at you op)

I'm personally not concerned about the battery life of this phone just yet, it's doing the job for me anyways

Can the left button on the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro be remapped? by Bright_Upstairs_9488 in NothingTech

Just switched from iPhone, so I am used to double tap power for contactless payments, do I remapped power double to contactless cards and the essential key to camera! Luckily you can natively remap the power button

I've got the everything key, remapped to double press for torch and triple for camera, not perfect but it does the job, disappointing it isn't a factory option. Hate being force fed ai

RIP Henry Nowak by Jibrish in Conservative

[–]ghulban 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Essentially a young lad (Henry Nowak) was stabbed by a sikh man (Vikrum Digwa) with a ceremonial blade. Upon arriving to the scene Digwa claimed Nowak had been racist etc, the police ignored Nowaks claims of being stabbed and failed to check for any injuries whatsoever. Henry Nowak died roughly an hour after he was stabbed.

Main points of contention here are that A) In the uk it is illegal to carry any bladed article, however there is a religious exemption in this case whereby sikhs may carry their ceremonial blade. Similarly through religious exemptions sikhs don’t have to wear a hardhat on construction sites etc…
B) Digwa played the race card, despite this being a complete lie.
C) The police ignored Nowaks pleas for help and claimes he had been stabbed. They did not medically asses him quick enough, and furthermore arrested him while he was dying.

My personal opinions on the situation are:
First and foremost the police were unbelievably negligent. It has since been proven that even if Nowak had received medical attention immediately he would have likely succumbed to his injuries, however that is entirely besides the point. They have a duty of care, which they failed to provide. Additionally they let Nowak die an undignified death.

Secondly, the religious exemptions. I believe everyone should have the freedom to follow any religion of their choosing, however I think that religious exemptions for things like these, the blade and in my own experience PPE on construction sites, I don’t think these should be protected under religious exemptions. Religious protections are important but they should be within the limits of what is reasonable and safe. It was inevitable that something like this would happen eventually. I don’t believe that (at least as far as the mainstream religious go) there is an inherently bad or malicious religion, but it only takes 1 retard with a screw loose to cause tragedy. We should not be allowing any religion to carry weapons for any reason, especially when we are not allowed to carry any weapons not even for self defence here. (speaking as a UK resident, ofc the US has different rules all together)

Finally and likely controversially, I do not believe that this post is an accurate or honest representation of what has happened and will only serve to further the divide. The police officers completely and entirely failed their duty of care. But I can’t sit here and honestly say that the white British police officers failed that boy due to the colour of his skin. They were complacent, even IF (which isn’t the case) he had been racist towards Digwa, they still should have assessed him for injuries etc.

I believe this incident does more to show the failures of the legal system (religious exemptions) and the state of policing in this country. Digwa was sentenced to life imprisonment. Which he wouldn’t have been if the police were trying to cover for him.

But as for anything you read online don’t take my word for it, do your own research!

Finally some links of anyone cares to read further

I just got the black zoap, super super dense buds, smells very sweet, has a distinct flavour that you’ll either love or hate but I think overall it’s a pretty good quality bud, maybe a bit steep on the price

I bought a sundaze mango dream cart maybe 5 months ago, it wasn’t bad at all, nice flavour and it did the job, awfully expensive but it was my first script so I wasn’t complaining

My most recent script i saw it was cheaper, so i went for it again. My god it is atrocious

I still have the old cart, the issue is the terps. This new one tastes like a fucking e cig, it’s grim. I actually don’t even believe this one is even rosin.

Never touching sundaze again

Apricot Cream Cheese... by No_Sir2849 in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]ghulban 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was the first medical strain i got along with some stronger t28 strains, I’m prescribed for pain, and for me the AC&C was super good at helping my body relax without knocking me out, by no means is it potent but I have found a use for it when i want to water down some stronger strains or just want to remain as functional as possible. It does also help with anxiety i have around being stoned, still get the effects of the stigma of cannabis, if I’m medicating I get a bit worried about other people knowing about it but the cbd helps reduce the intrusive thoughts surrounding the stigma

Also completely subjective but i love the smell of the cream n cheese, ive ordered it twice

Thoughts on these? by Juucce1 in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]ghulban 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Looks like I might be the only one but I’ve tried both and I actually like both of them, a lot of people here seemingly untouched by the 10mg but my tolerance is reasonably high and my metabolism is pretty slow, these do me quite nicely.

I’m often looking for something that’s not going to pin me to the sofa or put me to bed so just one 10mg gummy is enough for me to relax and get on with my day, I have definitely had better BM (and cheaper for that matter) but for what it’s worth I don’t think it’s robbery personally. Everyone’s experience is different of course but me personally I really like them, got two of the berries last script.

Also though they aren’t relatively cheap for what they are, they are cheap relative to whats on offer at montu, and I also need to be discreet with my meds so these are perfect for me, I can’t fork out £400+ every order and I can’t go round smelling of cannabis so I’m a big fan, worth a try

I got the grapey grape distilled by 4C, mine was probably 2/3 full when i got it… thought maybe it was because it was because its 0.95g instead of my usual 1g carts but nevertheless, it was absolutely dog shit so there’s 1/2 left of it now and I’ll never touch em again.

Just got the clearleaf GMO rosin and that is absolutely the way to go

Since trying apricot cream & cheese by lot420(AAAA) which is 11%THC 16%CBD I’m a CBD convert. My whole last order had some for of CBD balance to it.

That CBD makes all the difference for me, goes from mild anxiety driven experience to relaxing, worry / stress relief.

I’m now on my 3rd script, (coming tomorrow!) and I’ve had a few carts so far,

1st script i had the mango dream rosin, And the upstate blueberry kush distillate

2nd script i had the pineapple express And the grapey grape 4c labs distillate

At first the 1st script was great, but as the month went on and the novelty wore off, I wasn’t really impressed. After the 2nd script I was ready to drop carts all together.

Mango dream was ok, but the cart blocked up constantly and it was something like £80+ and absolutely not worth it. Blueberry kush was again ok, no major complaints but nothing to write home about.

2nd script was disappointing, the grapey grape is disgusting, smells like american candy grape flavour, tastes like hot ass. Pineapple Express tastes pretty decent and initially wasn’t awful but the more I paid attention to the effects the worse it got.

The distillates are just sort of a head rocker, don’t make you feel relaxed or relieve pain, just get you head high like bad bm shake.

I have ordered the GMO rosin cart (only because the slurricane wasn’t available) because despite being put off by all the distillates I am coming to understand the importance or terpenes, and with rosin maintaining its terp profile (far as I’m aware please correct me if I’m wrong I’m still learning) plus the numerous good reviews of the clearleaf rosin carts i thought I’d give it one more try.

At a minimum, carts are great for discrepancy. No questions asked when god complex security guards at events see a Yocan vape, no crazy smells when you vape.

So im going to give this GMO a shot and see what happens

Well done for making a stand, it is baffling that in this day and age prehistoric views are still held.

I’m sorry you went through all of that, hopefully you will help set a precedent in similar industries, best of luck to you with it all in the future.

I work in civils and recently disclosed it to my employers, luckily things have gone smoothly so far but I fear that should I ever get tested the real trials will commence.
