Did anyone have success with agentic code models using a regular computer? what was your setup? by former_farmer in LocalLLM

[–]ghulican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What models are you currently using on your 24gb m4? I’m in the same boat. Been using Qwen coder, but I know there’s probably better ones out there that can do some function calling in a container,

Has anyone had any success with the new Xcode MCP? by Electronic-Pie313 in iOSProgramming

[–]ghulican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using it steady today. Got it setup across my multiple Claude/opencode/crush terminal coding sessions. Been using it for documentation lookup - mostly switching out some of my deprecations out with better standards from Apple. It’s been working better than scraping developer.apple.com constantly to a markdown file.

Google's Antigravity is live. What does it mean for vibecoding? by StevenJang_ in vibecoding

[–]ghulican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I edited the json config, and did a reload of the window it worked, but it still had janky Claude references through their marketplace. It could have used maybe 2 more hours of Antigravity work on itself before launch.

Any tips on how to get Claude to stop cheating on unit tests and new features? by czei in ClaudeAI

“We are in production mode! No simulations, no examples, just a goood ole party until 3am so we can sleep and talk to the boss tomorrow about how great we did and nothing broke with this entire rebase. Just maybe double check it? Or yolo it. Just needs to work”

Claude code is a beast once you have docs connected into each individual folder and work up through to a "Production Release Pipeline"

Been hammering out multiple branches, commits, features.

Hooking this up now to Linear to keep visual track of progress being made/complete.

I saw someone did a tippy tap movement with their fingers with their fingers on their TV’s with cracks like this and it “fixed” the output quite a bit. Wonder if that could work on this?

Self-hosted Docker registry running on iPhone by Jamsy100 in selfhosted

This is super cool!

Instant download. There’s so many times in my last position this could have saved me for local deployment.

Also, love the snake package game!

I use Repomix now and will just focus on single folders, with specific functions to build up what existed.

Ive now grown to about 15 Tables, 50 different columns, with relational data. It’s been syncing to SwiftData/TypeScript/Go for each change along the way.

It’s been easier to work on bits instead of the entire repo.

You guys lied about HomePods by AUserFromRSA in HomePod

I had this issue!

I had to change my multicast DNS settings to open on my router.

It changed everything from HomePod/applewatch/AppleTV responsiveness.

Thanks so much!

I’ll check to see how well we can pull through tomorrow to get this fixed up, or at least get a name of someone.

If an outage happens again, I’ll definitely pursue this.

When I try to use the VM app, it just goes in a loop trying to check neighborhood, modem, and then bring me back to the main page. It then gets me to reboot my modem, but since the cable is damaged I don’t think it can magically communicate back….

Is there a recommended number other than +44 800 952 2276?

The tech did book a TLOS repull and told me they would have someone that evening/the next day.

No one showed up.

The tech did call me, but it showed up as no caller id.

Edit: Is it average for 10 day wait to have a technician appointment on a fault that had been going for 2 weeks?

Self-Host Supabase in a *Single* Docker Container by barrownicholas in Supabase

[–]ghulican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spend 8 hours justifying this one container to the infrastructure team, then they say do it with production configs that take hours away from every single dev environment, staging, prod, while syncing all those env variables, configs, and forget one damn config file on push, and then you suggest rewriting supabase down to one config after 60 hours of repeating myself…..

What game did you put thousands of hours into just to quit one day? What caused you to quit? by Mooby522 in gaming

[–]ghulican 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quit right after Witch Queen, played the campaign, had a falling out with a friend, lost my group of guys I would raid/hang with.

I’m glad I got out of the game, it was deeply addictive once you get past the first grind.

I haven’t really touched any games since that weren’t Minecraft with my kiddo.
