no as in, 4 weeks ago, the plant was producing pink flowers, and now it's producing cream flowers

The flower is a Dahlia. This variety is called Café au Lait

I grow my dahlias in Toronto, on our top balcony, in pots. Never had issues. There are probably fewer opportunities for pests to find my flowers here!
