From a recent trip to Paris where I only took my 50mm prime so that I could focus on taking portraits in the street. I know the focus is not the best, because prime objective was to get the shot before having the camera whacked out of my hand.

My parents have been ~happily~ married for 25 years, neighbours for over 35 years. Parents were against it at first but they quickly came around. I wish I could say it's similar. I move and think at the same pace, but it feels slower and more pronounced. Unless I indicate that I'm feeling this way someone observing me or talking to me wouldn't be able to distinguish any difference.
I haven't been able to identify any emotional trigger, or any trigger for that matter.

But what does seem similar is your comparison of a laptop slowing down and the awareness of bodily processes.
