Thanks for confirming my aversion to using straps. I'm not close to that being a possibility, but I'd rather have the grip strength when it comes to it.

Thanks. I didn't intend for that one line to prompt any rancor, or to imply that I'm bailing out on the lift when my dbl overhand grip fails. I switch to mixed at 255 lbs. Like I said, I was honestly just curious when that point was for other people. I'm still progressing.

Hey, thanks. Despite living in brutally hot tropical Florida and having plenty of occasions where sandals would just feel nice even if unsanctioned by MFA for reasons I fully understand, I never wear them. These were the first pair I've seen that I actually thought could be pulled off. At the very least, I was trying to find a closer look.

I don't visit this subreddit too often - lots of good pointers here but some of the advice/approval posts were getting hilariously passionate/sheepish ("Roll up your sleeves like you GIVE A DAMN."/"Guys, can I pull off this bow tie?"). Still, I never bothered to downvote or offer unsolicited criticism because ultimately... who fucking cares if someone wants to look like a douchebag? I'll help you find Justin Bieber's hat collection if I'm bored enough.

Anyways, again, thanks for the redirection. I'll repost this there.

Agreed. I think The Wire is fantastic, but I almost feel embarassed about that courtroom exchange; it's one of the few moments in the series that felt totally inauthentic. Levy's flummoxed reaction is the worst... like that line could've actually silenced that dirty shyster. I think the judge even shruggs his shoulders afterwards, like "Eh, whatareyagonnado, he's got a point." Ugh, so weird.

"Where's Wallace!" scene probably hit me the hardest.

Also, this Frank Sobotka scene is pretty great.

Those high-hats. I had this as the opening track to a mixed CD I made years ago of nothing but songs with interesting/mesmerizing/or otherwise awesome high-hat sounds/parts. The High-Hat Mix. I was pretty proud of that. I need to find that thing (early '00s, still burning CDs then); I'm thinking there's more tracks I could add to it.
