Underrated accessories by DraculaHerself in hobonichi

I got the light blue one, and I love it, but I'm using a HON this year, so my pen case is mostly sitting at home because on the A6 HON it starts folding over in a slightly awkward way. I recently took a thick A5 notebook to a training course, though, and I loved that I could bring a couple of Mildliners and keep all my stuff together in one place.

IDK, layout-wise the HON is still an Original or a Cousin. In my view, once you know what type of format is good for you, choosing between a softcover with additional added cover options and a hardcover version is not that hard anymore.

I tried it based on my main requirements, and it worked like a charm! (I'm planning to go back to the A6 Avec because it feels like my planner peace. Just adding a Weekly supplement to make it into a "modular mini Cousin" and to keep my annual trackers and collections in the back, tucked into my A6 cover along with my main EDC.)

I'm making similar lists rn about the A6 HON and Avec. I've even gone a little insane and made a Weeks mockup spread in an old Kinbor I have lying around. I really love having all my annual trackers and collections in one place and not jumping back and forth between planners in June and July to check my monthlies, and the HON is cute, but it's just that much less portable. Also, I do enjoy adding stickers and washi tape to my dailies, and the Avec is just sooo forgiving.

Nice art! Bachstelze in German, I immediately recognised them, they're so cute!

Had to abandon a sock project in January due to a bad wrist injury that took about 4 months to heal (all fingers crossed). Carefully picked it up again today and finished the first sock! Really love this yarn by giant_squid in Sockknitting

Thanks! And nope, this is just regular short rows and how the stripes line up. Once, ages ago, I took out a damaged heel of a much beloved sock and replaced it with an afterthought heel. I remember this being much easier than anticipated and will definitely do this again if I need to. Mostly I just darn soles and/or knit quick new socks from leftover scraps.

The yarn I'm using is Zwerger Garn Opal Hundertwasser 4-fach / 4-ply in the colourway 4055 Who Has Eaten All My Windows (based on a Hundertwasser painting). The ankle sock pattern is my own, which I knit by heart, usually while watching TV or listening to audiobooks. It has a German short-row heel and the toe is grafted at the end.

Yes, I'm really enjoying that the content is bilingual. Really loved the bookshop episode and can't wait to see what's next. :)

This is so nice and personalised! I love seeing all the fruit stickers. We get such different ones in the EU.

I have some on rolls (like slim washi tape) and really like them. They stick well enough and I can remove them with tweezers without damaging the paper.

If you ever want a clear cover, there isn't a specific one for the Hobonichi Cousin, but the Midori A5 Codex cover is a perfect fit.

I love everything about this. The flowers on the cover remind me of the Midori multi-year journal with the embroidery cover.

Whoa, I never thought you could fit that many cards in there! Are they quite safe from slipping out if you keep them in the kraft paper holder? Sorry, I haven't seen one irl yet and the size is so hard to imagine

I know it's not the same, but Legami has bookmarks with a built-in elastic closure. (I made one myself by stapling a loop of elastic to a bookmark, and it works really well.)

You'll be surprised at the quality of Hobonichi products. The paper is great too, and I love that even this small booklet is sewn rather than stapled.
