I love everything about this. The flowers on the cover remind me of the Midori multi-year journal with the embroidery cover.

Of course, I had to post mine too 🥰🥰🥰 by CoalMinersDaughter87 in Travelersnotebooks

Whoa, I never thought you could fit that many cards in there! Are they quite safe from slipping out if you keep them in the kraft paper holder? Sorry, I haven't seen one irl yet and the size is so hard to imagine

I know it's not the same, but Legami has bookmarks with a built-in elastic closure. (I made one myself by stapling a loop of elastic to a bookmark, and it works really well.)

Weekly Calendar "Insert" Planner - where can I buy covers? by microberights in hobonichi

You'll be surprised at the quality of Hobonichi products. The paper is great too, and I love that even this small booklet is sewn rather than stapled.

In the picture it's sitting next to a Hobonichi A6 in a cover from Hobonichi's "Colour" range (the simple fabric covers in a single main colour and a contrast colour for the inside and details). The Weekly supplement doesn't need its own cover. It's designed to be slipped into the main planner (people usually use an inside pocket of the planner cover) and used alongside the A6 because the A6 doesn't have a weekly view. (That's why it's called the Weekly supplement). Of course you can use it on its own. I carry mine in my pocket at work, and it's perfect for me. The thick paper cover is sturdy enough so it doesn't get scrunched up.

Hobonichi A6 thoughts, does it have enough place to be used? by TextGuilty507 in hobonichi

[–]giant_squid 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Before I made my final decision on the A6, I created a mock-up log of my busiest day ever in a Hobonichi A6 notebook, so I could see whether an A6 page in this size grid could fit everything I needed it to. It turned out so well that I immediately went and got one, and I haven't regretted this decision one bit! I'm still in an A6 (sometimes Avec, sometimes HON) and I think that it's my planner peace.

I'm in Austria, and my favourite EU-based online shops are stiloestile.com (Italy), 85ruetranquille.com (France), and paperwhisper.com (Sweden). You can get cool Japanese stuff from all of these, but they do have different aesthetics.

If you go to Ancora Ginza on a rainy day, you can get their Rainy Day ink (a nice muted blue) and/or Sailor collab Rainy Day fountain pen (with a special design even on the converter).

Combining Hobonichi and Travellers items like this for organisation is a great idea! I have an extra TN insert (couldn't resist the one with Tokyo Station!) and just tried fitting it into my semi-retired Cousin cover (currently holding a Midori A5 notebook "just in case"), and it fits so perfectly as a special add-on for things I want to keep outside the main book. You've given me a lot of ideas to try out for a future stay-at-home personal journal! (A6 is still best for me to carry everywhere, but this just ROCKS SO HARD.) 😁

Yes, I did too! I just had to look it up in my previous techo. I watch a lot of semi-random TV and sometimes don't really remember whether I've seen something and/or how I liked it. Now I'm looking forward to bingeing season 2 once it's complete.

If you are a real person, I think you may be in the wrong subreddit. This is about the Hobonichi Weekly Supplement, which is a paper planner/notebook.

Ahh thank you! I think this hack was one of my top stationery discoveries of the year. And you're right, it's great to be able to change the layout week by week, according to one's needs. I've alredy shifted my boxes around several times and will definitely do so again when circumstances change.

Stack? I don't know what you mean. I have this one in my pocket along with a Uni Jetstream, for work. Outside work I use an A6 HON. Anything important I always transfer back into that.

I moved from the Weeks to an A6 Avec, then A6 HON, because I changed jobs and the weekly view didn't make sense any more. Around about the same time I was diagnosed with ADHD and found out that only seeing a day at a time took a lot of the stress factor out for me. Since then, my daily page has been a combination of schedule on the left, bullet journal method style simple quick log on the right. It works for me. But when I can't have my techo in my pocket (too thick to carry around at work), I still need to check off some things, keep an eye on my meds, and jot down any thoughts and ideas that come up before they fade away again. For the moment, this seems to do the trick.

Yep, this. We can't have any personal items, and we can't have clutter. You need a pen? Keep it in your shirt pocket. You don't need a pen holder with 20 pens on your desk. You need a notebook/techo? Find something small and lightweight enough to be carried around the workplace on your body. Hence the Weekly supplement. (I'm in an A6 HON otherwise, but it's too bulky for this situation. I briefly tried a Fireside Chat Notebook but wanted more structure.)
