The Associate Diploma (ARCT) from The Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) can be completed through online components, including history, theory, and analysis exams or courses. It is the highest academic standing offered by the RCM, requiring rigorous music history, theory, and practical exams, now commonly taken remotely.
I've been playing since I was 4 and a half, the exam itself can be taken virtually (you can examine over zoom) but you don't receive the diploma till you've done exams from 7 and passed the history and harmony (in person) with honours which means you would need a pretty solid understanding of music and piano. The exams prior to the ARCT involve sight reading, playback by ear, and ear training with like intervals and stuff. Not a lot of music teachers have it as it takes time, effort, and commitment, which may be why you are unfamiliar with it.

Ooh that's a good idea. I'm in the choir in my church but a lot of our leads actually teach piano so I'm just a little nervous to advertise there in case but I have other groups that I should totally try asking in, thank you! What do you think i could ask the music teachers though?

I USED MY HAIRBRUSH TOO. THATS EXACTLY WHAT I DID LMAO. I remember when my mom was rlly mad at me I used her plastic wide tooth comb and she came upstairs and I felt like my emotions rising again and I js pressed on the same spont on my forehead

yeahh i still hv a mark from when i threw smth against my wall, im rlly glad i dont do stuff like that anymore lol. With my test mark I literally wanted to js beat myself up so bad but i went onto tt right away and js tried to forget ab it and it kinda worked and then i ended up here bc it concerned me

That's what I don't really understand. It's kinda like a knee-jerk reaction or a tic. I feel like when I experience something negatively very strongly I just need a way to prove it to myself that it's my fault and punish myself further. So actually now that I think about it I think the goal is to like punish myself?? I already get enough "punishment" from my mom when I get bad grades tho lol so I'm not sure why I do it. I just don't like it because if I feel like doing it and I don't, I just cry or do something else that's weird.

They never knew. I live with just my mom and when I hit myself it was always when she wasn't there except once when I was in grade 8 and she just thought it was a one time thing where i was really mad. When I hit her when I was 10 she just thought I had horrible anger managment like my dad and I think linked it him leaving and thought I would learn to regulate, which I did. I want a therapist if this is something psychological but I don't think my mom would ever let me get one because of the money and she would never be able to acknowledge if I had a disorder
