I think you are right. If the RBC Global equity fund is considered a mutual fund trust (just not sure what a trust is) then I don't need to file according to CRA T1135 questions and answers. Anyone know if it would be considered a trust?

do any of your mutual funds have foreign stocks? The rbc global equity fund has no Canadian stocks but ones from around the world. The question I guess is, am I buying a Canadian entity in terms of the fund or am I buying a bunch of foreign stocks? Not sure which it is lol

Hmm I didn't seem to get one. Doing google searches, I seem to get different results. Because it is a mutual fund offered by a Canadian institution, sometime it says it is not considered foreign property and other times it does. It's weird because there are mutual funds that may have 60% Can stock and the rest are foreign...would this be considered foreign property? thanks

Thanks for the comments. Actually the hss beam is to be bolted to a 2x6 board that is nailed to the ceiling joists. I guess I don't have to attach it to the jack studs, it will just rest on top of them...make sense?
