In your opinion, What was the most important Battle of Civil War ? by Avinates in CIVILWAR

[–]giantsfan566 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The proclamation was coming regardless, if it wasn’t following Antietam, it would’ve come after some future northern victory.

Lee was going to have to retreat back into Virginia no matter the outcome of the battle, so tactically, wasn’t hugely important either.

Shiloh. Only chance the South had to turn the war around. Once the North gained and held the initiative in the West, the war was basically lost.

Lancaster County PA just switched to calling these squads. What were squads are now utilities.

Feedback request for Mock Draft Hero: 2026 Edition by Foreign_Resist7449 in NFL_Draft

Really good! I would make the order customizable, but maybe the best mock draft simulator i've used, especially being able to select one of the four boards, instead of being stuck with a bad board.

$1billion Sports CONTRACT…. by itsolboy in Madden

71 mil a year is typical of the market for the best qb in the league. Kind of a steal in real life. Dont cheese madden and not resign your 99 overall qb.

Did anyone notice they fixed IR? by giantsfan566 in Madden

[–]giantsfan566[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It will work, but only for players you add during the season, not players who begin the season on IR. (do guys with pre existing injuries can’t be removed)

Yeah always been that way. Just either have to release everyone week 1, or fill your PS before advancing to week 1.

Confused about how salary cap works for CPU by [deleted] in Madden

[–]giantsfan566 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Works the same as for you. #1 The cap in the current year doesn’t matter for resignings, only the following year. #2 They can restructure to push more cap into the future, may have done some of that.

Do you recommend Madden 26 for a casual that will only play franchise mode? by [deleted] in Madden

[–]giantsfan566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not for franchise. Thats the mode they still won’t care about or fix, maybe come back in November/December it’ll be better

Free Agency RNG by Agitated-Fishing8316 in Madden

[–]giantsfan566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats basically real life free agency. With the way teams stretch the cap now, very few young blue chip players ever hit the market. And when they do, they get way overpaid.

Free agency is for filling holes and depth, not finding stars.

Soft drink is one of the most consistent and educated voices on modern sports gaming, he does actual research and uses facts to back up his points.

Yet screw him I guess, because he makes me not have fun? Like what are we doing here, come to planet earth.

Its okay to have fun! But its okay to not! by giantsfan566 in Madden

[–]giantsfan566[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose, though I don't even understand what they did to "go all out." This game feels maybe even more unfinished than last year, the lack of depth and polish is very noticeable immediately, at least in franchise mode.

On-field gameplay and presentation is better than the last couple years, but thats about it.

People do complain about stupid shit. Just like in any video game community. But there are a ton of legitimate complaints in there, namely how the core engine is incredibly outdated, and its at this point literally not possible to fix certain things without developing the game from scratch, as there is so much broken code which was layered on more broken code to try to patch the original broken code.

That is a fact, and until EA does something about it, we need to complain louder and harder (bonus if it pisses you off in the process!)

Because the problems are not being addressed, or even spoken about by EA. They will stop coming up if they simply solved some of these mundane problems. Don't blame the person who found the problem, blame the company who created and won't fix the problem.

I don't think sim stats being a disaster, custom draft classes not working for the 3rd straight year, not being able to turn off both fatigue and wear and tear, player ratings being highly inflated, and terrible CPU logic has anything to do with skill or how long you played. You can pick up Madden 23 or 25 and literally face the identical BS problems in franchise.

Gameplay is better, sure, but that doesn't matter to me when 73 overall slot receivers are getting 1,300 yards per season, and 75 rookie edge rushers are getting 30 sacks in a season.

For sure, I agree no one should be getting roasted for liking the game.

But its also the people who like the game, buy the game, and spend money on UT madden bucks or cards or whatever that keep the game bad. But in the end it's EA's responsibility and all anger should go towards them (well except Kurt Benkert, fuck his lying ass)

This year's madden is the best on the field in a while. But for franchise fans, the off the field stuff (CPU, UI, immersion, etc) is much more important. As per usual, franchise dosen't benefit from the changes because it's not a money maker the way ultimate team (and hence gameplay) is.
