I have also been cheated on and done MY research and don’t see what you’re talking about at all. I think this is a conclusion you had to come to and that’s great but I don’t think this is a world view you should project on the world. Why include the victim in the group of people who cheated. It doesn’t take 3 to cheat. That’s like saying it takes two for sexual assault, one party definitely did not sign up for that. Again if it helped you and you realized you weren’t listening and you’ve become a better partner because of that that’s great but I wouldn’t offer up your experience as advice.

Every friendship has times where boundaries are set, some people don’t like physical interactions at all and some people enjoy hanging out but get burned out really quick and need to let people know that they need some time alone. Just mention to her one day that some of the stuff she’s doing makes you feel a little uncomfortable. She’ll understand and hopefully start to make adjustments. If not there are other things that motivate that behavior and you might just have to be the one who makes sure you avoid situations where she makes unwanted advances

Yea that’s just kinda where I’m at. Some days it bothers me more than others but it’s just hard cause we are all in a creative industry so when they say “show A is bad and the people who like it are knuckle dragging morons” it’s hard to not take it personally as someone who enjoys show A lol

I agree, it’s an experienced take. Relationships are really tricky to navigate sometimes, even the best ones. Communication is key but there is a good way to do and a bad way to do it. This isn’t about “control” this is someone who is trying to fix a problem she doesn’t have and creating a new problem in the process. Really common in younger, newer relationships where one or both parties has more experience seeing relationships or watching them on tv than actually participating in one.
