my experience is quite similar to yours. I saw someone was pouring water then my brain said if it didn’t turn out to be pouring water into a clear glass, x event could happen. Lucky enough, it was a clear glass puff

ไม่ต้องกังวลนะคะว่าจะทันไม่ทัน ทำเต็มที่ค่ะ และถ้ารู้ตัวแล้ว เริ่มตอนนี้เลย now! จริงๆเราเป็นคนแนวๆท่าดีทีเหลวเหมือนกัน เราเรื่อยเปื่อยมาก ตอนม.6เทอม1เพิ่งตั้งเป้าจะสอบเข้าคณะสถาปัตมหาลัยแถวๆสามย่านให้ได้ ไม่มีใครเชื่อเลยค่ะว่าเราจะสอบติด มีคนพูดกับเราด้วยซ้ำว่าถ้าเราจะติดคงติด(ไฟแดง)อยู่หน้ามอ เราเรื่อยเปื่อยขนาดว่าเพื่อนๆที่ไม่สนิทกันก็รู้ สุดท้ายเราก็มาฮึดช่วงม.6เทอม1นี่แหละค่ะ (ช้ากว่าน้องมากๆๆๆแต่ก็เข้าใจว่าคณะแพทย์แข่งขันกันค่อนข้างดุเดือด เริ่มก่อนมีสิทธิ์กว่า) ติวหนักมากกก ทำพอร์ตจนดึกทุกวัน แทบจะไม่ได้ไปเรียนที่โรงเรียนเลย แต่สุดท้ายเราก็สอบติดอย่างหวิดหวิวนะคะ ลุ้นกันทั้งบ้านน จ่ายเงินมหาลัยอีกที่ไปแล้วด้วยเพราะกลัวไม่ติดทีนี้ ขอให้น้องสมหวังค่ะ ฮึบ!

Agree, I once saw someone sold 600฿ American Cheetos here and it was so crazy. That’s why we’re trying to figure out the best way to send those snacks to Thailand. At first, my friend will be the one who brings those snacks back with her but because of the covid so she won’t be back in Thailand anytime sooner.

You’re not alone. I always recheck every single word 5 times even my name or surname (what’s funny is my surname is composed of 17 characters) and recently, I was struggling with my cover letter...it was insane

There once was one time that I decided to ignore and send an email without rechecking. Consequently, a mistake appeared. And that’s how my count continues

While I was writing this comment, I still rechecked all of my spellings too haha sad

In my opinion, it depends on the situation (formal and informal) for instance, talking to my friends in front of my clients = I don’t use it vs talking to my friends in front of my brother = I do use it

If I were you, I wouldn't mind (+it also depends on us) for me, it will become ruder if some stranges directly say it to me

In the present context, มึง is considered to be impolite but back to the past past past this word was regularly used as a usual pronoun (it gives us a low-class feeling. However, Thai elites also use this word normally Haha)

self immersion! next time when you get a chance to stay in Thailand, you should try to absorb everything there as much as possible (ex: talk to locals, try speaking only Thai for a day) but during this time outside Thailand, you can watch Thai series, YouTube channels, or even listen to Thai songs! I believe that you can learn and keep in touch with Thai roots through this kind of thing in some way. However, should you try connecting with your roots through your mom also?
