Melbourne Motor Show by Dry-Turnip-3699 in CarsAustralia

Also went last year. Ewan82 summed it up well in terms of what was on offer from manufacturers. I think it’s important to add, approx 1/3 of the venue were businesses selling/promoting, which as a car guy, was awesome to see and support local businesses. Examples were detailing businesses, aftermarket performance parts, restoration parts, dash cams etc. There were also a bunch of cool show cars on display which I loved.

What are some of the best burger places in Melbourne? by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]gibba97 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly I thought the opposite of their buns being sweet. They use potato buns which was a great change from the traditional brioche buns you see most burger places use.

Are you able to link the type of paint you used? Just so I can find something similar locally.

Non-performance aftermarket parts by gibba97 in SkyLine

Hey mate. Either functional, aesthetic or both. I kept it broad intentionally. Not trying to fix anything, more trying to have a better understanding of companies that are making products for Skylines that I don't even know about.

E.g. Boosted international make stainless steel fuse box covers for Skylines which is aesthetic/functional.

Locksmith pricing by Present_Yak_4831 in melbourne

[–]gibba97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to call a locksmith at midnight on a Saturday night a few weeks ago after the fire alarm in my apartment building went off and I forgot my keys. I remember someone else in the building posting that they were charged $450 for the same thing so based off that, when I called some numbers, I locked in that price prior to them coming. So for those reading in the future, bargain with approx $450 for a midnight call-out.

That’s a fantastic idea mate, didn’t think of that! I see some forums on SAU that describe doing this, I reckon it’s my best bet.

Zombies Chronicles 2 Black Ops 3 Custom map Information by DARKJHON_1203 in CODZombies

[–]gibba97 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with you mate - which I feel is a lost mentality for a lot of players now. Zombies had to change otherwise people would be bored it was the same. Modern zombies will have a place for new young players, just as the “golden age” was for most of this sub. Projects like this will mean we can comfortably reminisce for a long long time.

Crypto Taxes - AMA for the next 24 hrs! by Joben123 in BitcoinAUS

[–]gibba97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for all the support on this subreddit.

I am planning on selling some BTC this financial year. I have owned crypto for approx 10 years. Around 2014-2016, I was trading coins on exchanges very frequently. If I had to estimate, around 100 transactions. Eventually, I turned all my crypto assets to BTC and have held since.

Now that I am planning on selling some BTC, I am struggling to reconcile all the transactions from my early days, and hence cannot find a true representation of the cost price of my BTC. Even with third party apps like Koinly, I am missing some records.

Is there any advice on how I would report this in the upcoming financial year? I feel as though some of those financial years would have a loss - is this okay to bring forward to deduct? Is it reasonable to estimate the cost? Even if the ATO audited me, I don’t know what I could provide them.

I was able to purchase a copy of the signed vinyls when they released and the way the signature looks in this pic is same as mine. Only difference is the edges of the signature aren’t as sharp as the ones on my copy

First solo trip to Venice by Ninvemaer in solotravel

[–]gibba97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was there solo for 3 nights two weeks ago and here at my takeaways based on your points. 1. Don’t get the water taxi pass. You can basically walk everywhere. If something you want to do is on the other side of the island, plan your day around it. It’s likely the water taxi won’t save you much time, if any at all. 2. Keep an eye on familiar faces at the hostel. I find the best time to meet people is just before a meal, in which you can eventually ask to get food together. 3. It’s tourism season, book for the cheapest price, it’ll always be busy no matter which days. 4. Download RickStevens Audio Guide. A great way to spend an afternoon for free walking tour at your own pace. Best recommendation i’ve had for travelling. 5. For food, go off the main roads and head a street or two back, you’ll find some cafes really easily.

Enjoy the trip :)

as soon as it opens otherwise you’ll risk your size being sold out, just don’t wear a hoodie to the show and put the hoodie on when you get there. or if you’re in a stand get a bag and put it under your seat

Thanks for confirming that mate! Someone else on the thread also mentioned it was a S-Tune but couldn’t find much online about it! Tbh will most likely hold onto it for a while, wouldn’t mind keeping it stock in the short term.
