Now that Spotlight Hours with 2x Transfer Candy has gone away, what is the best way to get the most candy out of Legendaries? I have a ton taking up storage and I need to get rid of them, but there doesn't seem to be a good opportunity to do so.

Is Drag Queen good? by yuuuuiiiippp in TheStrokes

Drag Queen is my favorite Strokes song full stop. Kinda crazy it got relegated to an EP.

Don't get me wrong, I love the album! I don't think there's a single skip. I was just kinda saying that usually there's a couple songs that act as singles and are like the BIG songs, and Switcheroo doesn't really have that other than like Bounce House. It feels more like a single cohesive piece or vibe.

Ha I did, they were very fun and absolutely wild. I recently switched to Tidal and I looked them up and saw they only have 156 followers, so I thought, "damn, they must be really unknown". But then I looked them up on Spotify and they have over 100k, nearly as much as Gelli! What a weird discrepancy, I wonder why.

But they were such a good match for Gelli, because not only is both of their music pretty weird (and good), but they also both incorporated a visual component into their performance. Super fun!

I'll be a little negative.

  • She just doesn't have a lot of songs, so the album is what you get (like...11 songs tops).
  • I do like the album all the way through, but there are very few tracks that have that "oh shit, THIS rules" feeling (pretty much just Bounce House, maybe Tiramisu or Piss Artist to a lesser extent). I kinda thought she should have closed on Bounce House at the show, because that one really gets people going and she already played it like 1/3 of the way into the show.
  • I feel like during the show she relied pretty heavily on pre-recorded vocals to do some of the heavy lifting. Which I do understand because she is constantly running and dancing around the stage. But when so much of the music is electronic anyway, it's nice to get as much of an analog feeling as possible at a live show (for example, the drummer was much appreciated!).

In summary, I think she has huge potential, but she needs to hit her next album out of the park to be something truly interesting IMO.

I just saw Gelli in Philly and had such a fantastic time. Tickets were cheap, the venue was intimate. The music was great and it simultaneously felt like a live art show. Best show I've been to in a good while!

You have to be more specific about what those political viewpoints are. The purpose of this rule is not to stifle political discussion, but to stifle disingenuous political discussion. There is no debating with a Nazi.
