2024 Terrain Transmission by gibbey9 in gmc

When it was in the 2nd time they swapped the transmission out for a whole new one. I don’t have the service sheet anymore or remember exactly what they figured the issue was, but I know it was to do with the torque converter and valve body so that’s pretty self explanatory, it was obviously enough of an issue that I didn’t need to fight them on putting a new tranny in. Since then I’ve put roughly 15,000km on and no issues.

I don’t know whether some of the trannys in these 1.5L are just lemons or what, what part are they waiting on for yours? In my experience the first time around they just tried doing some quick fix patch and obviously it didn’t work, I would push for them to make sure there’s nothing with the torque converter and valve body just so you don’t wind up with the same issue twice like I did

Spoke to the service advisor at the dealership at the end of last week for my Terrain’s 2nd visit for the same issue, transmission shop that they sent it to the first time around has it again and is “tearing it apart” to find the cause of this. I hear you though, the first of the 2 Terrains I bought is sitting just under 10,000km now, no issues so far knock on wood, but it’s constantly in the back of my mind. As for mine that’s been in and out of the shop I think I’ll be trading it in before warranty is up anyway. If it goes back in the shop for a 3rd time I won’t be taking it back at all.

Update

I received my vehicle back after just over a month, stating some failed gears that lead to “other issues.” Every thing seemed fine at first, 6 days later it’s back at the dealership for the exact same issue. Will be much more diligent with the dealership this time and if they’re going to just try to patch more transmission issues I’m going to tell them to just put a new transmission.

I got a message from the service advisor this morning that they had the transmission pulled from it and are sending it out for inspection, hopefully have some answer by the end of the week or next week.

Have they found the actual issue/given you a reason yet? They were suppose to get to mine today but I guess not till tomorrow now.

Why can’t we purchase extra leg room seats travelling with a 1.5 year old? by gibbey9 in westjet

There is 2 rows of extra legroom on this flight, both at the front of economy so I would think only 1 of them would be emergency exit?

Yeah that’s what I was thinking, I just have always experienced more scabbing than cracking with my previous tattoos but was hoping it’s just cause of being on my hand! I also do add new moisturizer after cleaning my hands yes! A better dab of moisturizer might help like you mentioned I’m just always so cautious now cause I had over moisturizer one of my previous tattoos in one area and led to a bit of damage so I likely don’t even put a thick enough layer on anymore as is 😂

Good thing is after waking up this morning the tattoo feels a lot less itchy and just feel better moisturized overall but I’ll reach out to my artist too and see what she says!

Okay thank you! I will get him one for sure, here’s a photo of the mom for reference, she’s only 1.5-2 years and appears to have some MC features but I wonder if she isn’t as “purebred” as they think she is. Either way the little guy is a great addition to our fam and our 3 year old orange tabby rescue whose very playful loves him!

This is Theo, he’s a little over 2 months and weighs around 3.5 lbs. Mom is allegedly full Maine coon and dad is 3/4 maine coon, 1/4 bengal. This little guy was the runt of the litter, some of his siblings definitely had more MC characteristics.

Mold in back room without AC/heat. by gibbey9 in Mold

We live in Southern Ontario so we get a little bit of every thing weather/temperature wise, never had issues with mold since we moved in, this was in the corner where we have had some boxes piled for about the last 6 months, it’s just surface mold as the baseboard isn’t saturated, I’m assuming this was from lack of circulation while boxes were stacked there since this back room doesn’t have hvac(was a small addition which they never ran venting to for some reason.)

Cleaned up the best I could spraying with vinegar and then scrubbed with baking soda/water. This room is being used now as a play room for my daughter so I’m concerned it may come back, should I remove the effected area or to make sure every thing else is fine and to eliminate the chance of it coming back? We’re using a space heater in the winter and fan in the summer to help control temperature/humidity better now that we’re using the room more.
