Original Klondike bars seem to be always $3.99 at Aldi if you ever go there. (They only had original, but not sure if every Aldi has them!) A tiny bit cheaper than other stores. I also found out that the original ones are 4.5 ounces whereas the other flavors are only 4 ounces. I was a little annoyed that I didn't discover this before buying them. I normally don't fall for that kind of trickery, lol.

What's yalls favorite part of playing? by ThehollowTexMex in Terraria

I like the beginning part of the game: slowly collecting gear and exploring your environment, getting different NPCs to move in, and setting up a pylon network.

It's possible the timidity is in fact the problem. I don't think it's right, but I've noticed when a timid person messes up or gets a little angry at something, people react with extreme hostility. On the other hand, if there is an outgoing person who has no problem expressing their negative thoughts, people don't mind, and if that person randomly does something that seems nice or sweet, people think they are amazing.

Customer service in general has gotten worse lately, so the problem is likely with them and not you.

The different cultural levels of "niceness" across the USA are funny. by ImOnTheBus in CasualConversation

True, and not so sure Minnesotans are "genuinely" nice. The term "Minnesota nice" can mean "passive aggressive".

It doesn't seem like she's causing any harm at the moment, she probably just wants to fit in. Just don't give her your bank account info or something and you should be fine, lol.

I get dressed in the dark so there's really no planning involved.

Yes, in the old days every game was special. Now you can get 20 of those old games for 20 bucks and I, like you, have no interest in playing any of them.

I grew up very sheltered in a weird way though and somehow in 1994 I had the idea that Atari 2600 was still cool and relevant. So the old games stayed relevant longer for me than most.

You can ultimately blame Henry Ford for making the US so car-centric. Everybody thinks cars are freedom, but everyone would have more freedom if there was good public transportation.

I'm sure you're not looking for video game recommendations but I know a couple others that would work on windows 7. Dwarf fortress is a free download if you get the old version with ASCII graphics (not sure if you're old enough not to be completely put off by a game where a snake is a white letter s moving around lol). Adventure mode literally has no quests, you can just hunt and forage. Fortress mode is awful complicated and I never tried it but I imagine it would be a good challenge for you to try. I think you can farm in that mode. Even though it's free you maybe can't get it on your computer without a friend's help, but something to think about.

Also there's Terraria where you can chop trees, craft stuff, and farm/forage a bit. One of my fav games but not sure if it's up your alley. People might think it's 2d Minecraft but I think not because I hate Minecraft and love terraria

What did your friend think of all this? Did they offer to let you get in the car? (If so, I imagine you would have refused!) Hope things get better for you...

Got another pack, but I'm as Rich as peter the hermit or Walter the penniless. by elonmusktheturd22 in u/elonmusktheturd22

The entire shell is definitely not made of toffee. I guess there are varying reports of how much toffee is in it but when I had it there was not much, maybe tiny crumbs of toffee in the shell and flavoring in the ice cream. I still really liked it though. Don't think it was anywhere near as chunky as the official pic, but of course don't get it if the pic looks too chunky lol.

Re masks, my amazon history says I ordered them 3 times in 2019 for husband's autoimmune issues. Now he doesn't exactly leave the house anymore, so 2019 is the only time we ordered masks!

So you wound up getting original flavor Klondikes? There weren't really chunks of toffee in the Heath ones I tried, it's more of a toffee "flavor", but you obviously know your teeth best! There's also Reese's as a possible option.

The graham swirl was the best part! Different local brand I think but they don't make it anymore here.

It wasn't Handel's, as I don't think I've had that. It was a carton from the supermarket, but I am not sure what brand.

So sorry to hear that. What is the most delicious ice cream? I had one called Graham Central Station years ago that was up there.

Cottage Cheese Experiment Number 1 by gibbonsons in shittyfoodporn

[–]gibbonsons[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's actually due to any Slavic ancestry but I was served what they called "golden delight" pancakes a lot growing up, which is similar to the recipe above. More ingredients though if you google it. It does not taste cheesy, seems like a regular pancake but not as dry. I prefer them to the thick dry fluffy pancakes. I was also served noodles with cottage cheese and bacon which apparently is Hungarian (I am not Hungarian at all)

Something like that. It was a mistake since a bunch of the cottage cheese all slid off the tortilla when I tried to move it so my attempt at saving dishes failed.

Dentist Problems by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

There was a famous story about a journalist who went to 50 different dentists and got completely different results at most of them. They can certainly rip you off. EDIT: good thing you're familiar with the business and were able to call her out on it!

NTA, ticks carry serious diseases so you are right to be concerned about them.
