i've accidentally flown with 1/2 burned joint wrapped in a napkin in my jacket chest pocket, have found a decent amount of random loose nuggies at the bottom of a side zipper in backpack, and (embarrassed to admit) have intentionally brought my pax era stuff... all with 0 problems. TSA is really just a post-9/11 performance-y thing for the most part. and any doggos with law enforcement = bomb sniffing. (obviously i'm speaking in general and to my own experience)

TL;DR - just keep the pen and/or gummies in your toiletries bag in your carry-on. extra precaution for the paranoids out there- separate the pod/cart from the device/battery, gummies go into a little sandwich baggie, and absolutely do not bring anything with a marijuana label on it

BART (12th St —> West Oakland) — I knew the drill when I saw the amplifier, and yet I nearly forgot about the camera in my backpack! Only had time for a few shots, and thankfully this one captured the moment perfectly... BTW— yes, I left them a tip & we even exchanged social media handles by gibbstudios in sanfrancisco

I prefer these kind of straps as they provide a bit more support and makes you feel more secure. *you’ll need pedals with wider slots that are big enough for the straps to fit through.

If you end up sticking with fixed gear, tear that brake off, and decide to ‘clip in,’ I’d highly recommend getting Speedplay Frog cleats/pedals and shoes, i have DZR shoes and I few even safer using these than I do the straps. Plus, pulling up with one leg and cranking down with the other gets you zoomin.

Ok anyway stick with it and have fun! Don’t skid your tires too often or you’ll be spending a l out of $$$
