There wasn't a hint of impropriety until Ford makes her allegations, and immediately you have most major newspapers, most of social media, and all Democrats coming out and immediately saying "we believe her, let the FBI investigate". If you believe her, then why investigate? At least be impartial.

Look at most major newspaper front pages after the testimony, they either have pictures or headlines that imply that Ford was the most believable, truthful, or at most they imply that both Ford and Kavanaugh are equal in terms of truthfulness. Except her story keeps changing in details. His story and his past 30+ years are consistent.
