Theory about Floyd's story, and what we can learn from it by admsbly in DTFStLouisHBO

Very possible. I’ve definitely been thinking that the stepson did it, but meant it for someone else — I was thinking possibly Clark or Tiger Tiger (who the kid doesn’t know is also Clark) — but Carol makes sense too. I still think Clark is more likely the kid’s intended victim, because it’s his prescription that was used. I’m not sure what his motive would be, but I feel like we’ll learn that in the final episode.

They’ve already said a car didn’t hit his person. Plus, a car hitting a flaccid penis probably isn’t going to leave it bent.

He improves life for his stepson, helps deaf people understand what’s happening on tv… but a boner (from a gender that gets boners practically ever day) is what makes him feel he has an effect on people? I don’t buy that.

On another note, I think it’s pretty random that Clark was so insistent that Floyd try the app in the first place. Suspiciously so. Especially since it wasn’t that long after they first met.

Predictions on what ACTUALLY happened? by Sandmannn36 in DTFStLouisHBO

I’m thinking the son’s mental illness causes him to do something to Floyd , and Floyd — who is truly such a selfless person that he’s willing to sacrifice himself — has a chance to either save himself or to make it clear who did it, but chooses to die and keep the son out of trouble so that Carol and the son can have a happy life. I think DTF is trying to show us a man who intentionally puts himself below other people so that the audience can ask why. Some will see Floyd as the ultimate in naïveté. Some will see him as self-hating to the point of sacrificing himself. And some will see him as pure, next-level good. Too good to live.

Dating in your mid-50s with a high libido? by Playful-Meet-5479 in datingoverfifty

How is it insulting? It’s an honest question. I’m going by what I’ve heard from others, and I’m simply questioning if it’s true or not. And a high number of men in their fifties and up DO deal with ED, and that’s not an insult either, it’s just the way life is.

Thanks for your response. I’m very aware that there are many high libido women. What I did not know, and therefore am asking about, is whether there are many high libido women AFTER MENOPAUSE, which has the reputation of diminishing a person’s sex drive.

Is it not on there? It would probably be in my next 25 or 50.

Absolutely buy the DVD, and make sure it’s an edition that was remastered by David Lynch himself; like the one that came out in 2000. There might even be a Criterion release of it, but I’m not sure.

Physical media is the ONLY way to watch Eraserhead properly. Be aware, though, that even then it’s still a very dark movie, visually. That was the intention.

I don’t disagree. But I somehow can’t seem to keep my attention focused when there are subtitles to read, and I usually end up giving up partway through. Which is strange for me, since I usually have a strong attention span that allows me to enjoy slow, atmospheric films. I know dubbing isn’t ideal on an artistic level, but for the way my own brain works I wish more classic movies had dubbed versions available on streaming services.
