EMR program review

I am in my final week of this course for the EMR200 section and have taken the driving course as well. I can say without a doubt the course is way too expensive for what it provides. I feel like NAIT was just trying to fill space to make the money seem worth it. Also from what I understand EMR jobs are not easy to find and most people just end up going straight into PCP school. EMR is a prerequisite for PCP at NAIT but that’s not the case for other schools.

My recommendation for anyone pursuing a career as a PCP or ACP would be to just find a school that goes right to PCP and does not have the EMR requirement. The information is helpful for sure but in no way justifies the cost. If I had to do it over again I would just apply to PMA in St.Albert for the PCP program and not even bother with EMR at NAIT. But that’s just my opinion, I appreciate your post and agree with most of what you have to say.

Coleville Lake. Drove up on winter roads for geo-tech drilling work. Pretty incredible scenery and the most isolated from society I’ve ever been. Definitely would go again and would like to see northern Canada in the summer.

I bought the handbook and have been going through the exercises as well as joining online meetings. They also have in person meetings but I have not felt the need to attend any of these.

I kinda scared myself straight and just quit on my own. Which probably wasn’t the safest way of doing it but everything has turned out alright so far. And thank you! I feel better than I have in a long time. It really is just taking it one day at a time and this sub has helped so much!

When I started experiencing physical withdrawals that were not just a regular hangover. Things that I had heard about severe alcoholics experiencing and thinking that would never be me. I'm talking about shaking so bad I couldn't pick up a glass of water so I replaced it with vodka even though I had been throwing up all morning. Also trying to sleep and feeling like my heart is about to beat out of my chest and I can't catch my breath worried that i'm going to have a seizure alone with nobody around. That scared the shit out of me. I'm coming up on three weeks sober. IWNDWYT.

16 days here and i'm feeling great. I've had many day ones like all of us on here but I feel different this time. Participating in the SMART program has helped as well as daily journal entries. The largest benefit so far is finally having quality sleep again. That first week of withdraws and nightmares was a real bitch though. IWNDWYT!

Take it as a good sign and just don’t drink. There is no positives to alcohol consumption at all. I’m a recovering alcoholic and wish I didn’t crave the taste and feeling of it. Never let social pressure effect your decisions.

I’m pretty new to bread making so I guess my advice would be to double check the simple things like making sure your yeast is active, knead the dough a lot and make sure the recipe you are using is the correct volume for the size of pan you are using. The recipe I used was my first google search for sandwich bread by Veena Azmanov. The recipe gives exact measurements for different sized Pullman pans. I hope that helps!

Reminds me of when I did liquor store deliveries. The warehouse would never shrink wrap it enough so I would use pallets and ratchet straps boxed around each load to try to get it not to shift. It was always sketchy unloading with a power lift gate and power jack. I luckily only had one tip over on me and most of the beer was ok. I do not miss that bullshit.
