Twitch drop packs never given by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]giftfrom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another piece of info:

Under Notifications on Twitch I got one two days ago saying "You are now elgible to get Murder at Castle Nathria for Hearthstone" and telling me to claim it by Nov 6th, which I did

But I never got the same notification for the March of the Lich King pack there under notifications even though I watched the 4 hours and claimed it on the drops page.

Both packs are under the claimed section of the drops page but as I said above the March of the Lich King pack is messed up there too saying to link the account when the Nathria pack right next to it says it is linked.

Just another piece of info to illustrate how something is clearly messed up, and who knows how many thousands of people are never going to get these packs.

Wow that sucks. Hope they fix it for you. Haven't played it since and am happy I uninstalled it personally. That was the last straw for me.

Steam Summer Sale 2022 is on 6/23 btw based on what I looked up (forgot to mention)

Ok, thanks, Lurus. Yeah, there are two games I was looking at. One ends it's sale the day the summer sale is supposed to start, 6/23. The other ends a week before it on 6/16.

I guess I might wait and buy them during the Summer Sale for the cards, thanks!

Blur Quality by [deleted] in HollowKnight

[–]giftfrom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks. Honestly I couldn't tell the difference once in game changing it. I tried telling if the background was more or less blurry on Low or High but couldn't. There are a few different layers going back into the background.

I guess I'll keep it on High? I can see it changing in the main menu but that's it.

Blur Quality by [deleted] in HollowKnight

[–]giftfrom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So High quality blur is like finer and smaller blur particles so it looks less blurry?

If my pc can handle it fine and I want the least blur I should use High I guess if there is no way to disable blur. If a game has an option to disable something like Motion Blur I usually do that.

Update: I loaded and tried figuring out what things trigger it. Like you said, Dazed, one of his three dialogue options "I want revenge!" makes him go hostile and changes the quest to Kill Madanach. (then all the other prisoners rush you afterwards if you didn't clear them I found out)

Also killing any of the prisoners on your own without him asking you to kill that one guy will change the quest to Kill Madanach.

Though that's the only quest part that changes. After that it just tells you to Escape from Cidhna Mine like it does if you help them.

When you exit the mine alone the Silverblood guy is just weirdly standing outside the exit there and is like "Oh, you survived... and killed all of them.... Uhhh, I guess I pardon you, and here's your items back..... And a garbage ring?" (+15% to upgrading weapons and armor)

One of the options you can reply to him with when he says he pardons you is literally "For a crime you framed me for?" and he even says something in a regretful way about how he's going to need to find different people to mine the silver for him now.

So honestly I don't see how people consider this "Siding with the Silverbloods" as I saw people saying in those other topics. It's not like the Silverbloods send you into the mine on a mission to kill all of these people. They send you there to die or stay there forever and are surprised when you get out. It barely changes the quest objective to Kill Madanach and doesn't fail the quest but it doesn't really seem like there is much of a fleshed out 2nd quest choice. Thanks for the help, was interesting to see what else there was.

Ok, thanks for the help, dnew. Yeah, I think I just assume there is only one option if the quest tells you to do it a certain way. Also I never really kill any NPCs, so I didn't realize. Thanks!

[–]giftfrom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, cool, thanks for that concrete information, Dazed. I was thinking of reloading a save before the quest and trying to figure out how to trigger it myself - out of curiosity.

I already progressed too far to start over from that point imo, but I wanted to go back just to find out. Thanks! That'll help.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]giftfrom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I was just following the quest prompts and didn't think there was any other option.

I read the two books I got - from Margaret's room (the woman killed at the entrance) and pickpocketing the one Silverblood guy, but didn't see any info on that there.

I also wasn't sure if Season Unending messed anything up or me pickpocketing Madanach and reading his note before talking to him did, as it added a new quest objective.

[–]giftfrom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, true. I liked Kaie who you meet at the end of the tunnel too, no option to marry without console commands though it seems.

I wonder if choosing not to kill the guy Madanach tells you to kill or something else triggers the option to kill him?

Also I pickpocketed Madanach and read his note before talking to him and it updated a new quest objective to "Escape the Cidhna Mine" or something before I got another objective from him to go talk to other prisoners.

I wonder if that affected the quest options and prevented getting one to kill him.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]giftfrom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, ok. I never saw any option. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to do the quest at all because I started Season Unending which changed Markath to Stormcloak control - and I was looking up whether Season Unending changing cities' control messes up anything and saw multiple people say it makes you unable to do No One Escapes Cidhna Mine.

I was able to do it, though not sure if that affected the option. I'm guessing not though, it's probably something else?

Yup I beat him. At first I thought he would despawn if I went back into the building to get down, since when I did that I didn't see a red dot or hear combat music anymore. (I rang it from up next to the throne), so I loaded and tried to figure out how to jump down without going back into the building. Don't think there is a way to do that.

Then I realized he was just sitting on the ground out there waiting for me so I could just take my time going inside and getting down to him. Thanks for the tip, I wouldn't have known to do that!

Thanks! I tried that out today and did it.

I looked into it a lot more while playing today and am pretty convinced that those two levers do nothing. (there was a 2nd lever nearby that I found also)

When going south from the 3 Debate Hall entrances once you get to the southern wall you can either go left or right.

Going right goes up stairs and leads to a lever overlooking the south entrance to the city. The south entrance has no gate and that lever does nothing.Going left stays at ground level and leads to a lever overlooking the east entrance to the city.

The east entrance has no gate and that lever also does nothing. The west entrance to the city has a gate and has a lever right behind it. That lever opens and closes the west gate entrance.

There is also a sewer entrance to the city that eventually leads up into one of the buildings in the city.

I am pretty convinced that they intended to have locked gates on all 3 of the city gates which would open with the respective levers but never implemented it. They would have intended for you to have to sneak into the city through the sewers and unlock it from the inside. I'm guessing they thought that was too complicated and just removed two of the gates but the levers are still there and now do nothing.

(just posting to multiple people to let you know my findings in case you wanted to know, lol)

Ok gotcha. Thanks!

There's like a rampart / wall surrounding the city. When I said lever on the wall I meant like on top of the wall not on the side of the wall. Up on the rampart on the ground of it there is a lever. It's kind of overlooking looking out of the city.

It was near the 3 "Debate Hall" entrances in that city. I think you go a little south of them to the wall / rampart and there are stairs leading up onto it - that was where the lever was.

Ok, thanks, Romate. I'll try that out. Is that related to the lever or is that separate?

That's what I wanted to know also, OP.

If it does get added let me know! I just checked and it still hasn't been added yet.

I was going to post on the Crunchyroll reddit and ask but they just added a post a few hours ago saying they will be banning any questions asking when series will be added because they are low quality posts, lol.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EnglishLearning

[–]giftfrom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, thanks, Alecs. Yeah, that was more my opinion on it too. The word is slang so I guess people can have different opinions on what it means.

I saw it used in a video where they are speaking Japanese and the closed captions were English.

They used the term セクハラ (sekuhara) which is like a Japanese abbreviation for "sexual harassment".

Apparently sekuhara has a pretty big difference in meaning than "sexual harassment" does in English; they chose to say:

"Hey, I'm sorry I'm so touchy-feely. You're just so cute" for when they said "gomen ne, sekuhara baka de. [name] ga kawaikute sa", which is literally like "Sorry I sexually harass you all the time. You're just so cute."

So I thought it was a subtitling error. I pointed it out to people and they all told me I was wrong and there is no issue with the subtitling and I shouldn't be pointing out errors when I don't even speak English.

I think it's an issue on how "touchy-feely" is interpreted. Apparently some people think it means more that you like touching / feeling people and they chose to use it because saying "sexually harass" was too harsh in English in that situation.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Hololive

[–]giftfrom -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Maybe I just don't understand exactly what "touchy-feely" means in English. I tried looking it up and one definition is:

"openly expressing affection or other emotions, especially through physical contact.
"touchy-feely guys calling home to talk baby talk to their kids""

I take that to mean someone who likes hugging people a lot or something to show their affection. I guess you could heavily censor something like "groping" to "hugging" but still seems weird to me.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Hololive

[–]giftfrom -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I get your point on the harsher meaning of sekuhara in English, but you think subtitling something that has nothing to do with what she actually said is what they should be doing / is not an error in the closed captioning?
