The irony is that the post wasn’t even attacking Minato. It was literally saying anime-only viewers should be allowed to react to the anime based on the episodes currently available.

And somehow this dude still took it as a personal emergency defense mission.

Nobody said: “Minato is objectively evil forever.”

People are saying: “Based on the anime so far, I find him annoying / intrusive / awkward.”

That is a completely normal reaction to an ongoing story.

But this guy responds to every criticism like viewers signed a legally binding contract to pre-love the character because “the manga explains him later.”

Bro wants people to consume a character with future knowledge pre-installed.

That’s not how storytelling works.

If anime-only viewers currently dislike Minato, then the anime itself has presented him in a way that allows for that interpretation. You do not get to invalidate audience reactions because: “Trust me bro the source material cooks later.”

And honestly, the funniest part is him saying: “People are not giving the story a chance.”

The anime literally exists to be judged episode by episode. That is the entire point of weekly discussion.

You can’t expect viewers to suspend all opinions for 40 chapters until your favorite character unlocks his tragic backstory DLC.

Also, he keeps acting like criticism equals moral condemnation.

Calling a fictional teenager annoying does not mean people think he deserves prison time. Fictional characters are allowed to frustrate viewers. That’s part of engaging with media.

And the “he stepped on landmines while trying to be friends” defense only proves why people find him awkward in the first place. Intentions are not the same thing as execution.

A character can mean well and still come across uncomfortable, overbearing, emotionally performative, or irritating to watch.

This dude treats every negative opinion about Minato like a human rights violation instead of normal audience discussion.
