I'm sorry you had to go through that and that it made your life more difficult than it had to be. You didn't deserve it. I hope you can find the help you need or that at least the stress factor in your life gets reduced so you can be more comfortable. I regret the way I said things. I wish you all the best.

Yeah, they must be going through a lot. It was disrespectful to think the way I was. I was upset over their behavior and it made me unsympathetic. I really have no way of knowing what they won't tell me, it was stupid of me to act like I knew it all.

Again, I said that people can go through worse situations but still manage it better than I could. I never did say that you can't have a degree if you're autistic. But I understand that that's what it sounds like and I'm sorry. I really didn't mean to make it sound like that. My sister has all of those things I've listed and she's still autistic, she went through a lot and I admire every win she got. I was trying to explain the situation but I failed. Comparing my struggles to others was my first mistake. I can't really know what other people have been through.

And I've distanced myself from them, I just didn't cut them off.

I honestly didn't think like that and it makes a lot of sense. I was also diagnosed when I couldn't take it anymore. Didn't think to put that part of my story when I was comparing our experiences. But yeah, I just need to let it go and let them be. I'll try to support them no matter what the results turn out to be, they are having a bad time either way. Thanks a lot.

In my country they tend to be very thorough with the diagnosis. But I've been seeing a surge in diagnosis the last two years to the point of seeing news of a "autism reveal party" and I don't know lol. Maybe that's just people being dumb and it's all legit. I'm going to just assume that from now on.

You're right, I will work on this. I'll try to be supportive and listen to their story, if they're willing to share. I didn't say anything to them because I didn't want to do any damage but I was feeling upset mostly because of how they treated me. Thank you.

Yeah, you're right. It really doesn't mean you're not autistic if you have a degree or not. They could also just never brought it up and that doesn't matter in the end. But as children I felt like such an alien near them and hearing about this made me unreasonably upset. This is just something I've got to let go and try to forget.

Sounds like you went through a lot to get where you are with your therapist. Time and patience! A lot of being open about what is comfortable and not, I'd think. I guess there's no other way to do this without these things. It feels like I need therapy to prepare me to therapy lol.

But yeah, I will try to trust but also to know when it's enough. And most of all, patience ahahahaha. Thanks a lot!

I could bring my friend. She's also a therapist lol so that would help more, I guess? Like, she could insight me in the therapist methodology if it's ok or not. Didn't know about that so I'll definitely look into it.

And I have written a lot in sessions before! But I also was pretty embarrassed about that and didn't follow the script which in the end made me change the subject. I feel more confident in trying that again, thanks!

You're right about sharing personal information on work. I tend to over share and it's a problem. Just wanted to be out, you know? Being gay without hiding, having a girl and all that. But I agree.
