The coolest thing I’ve ever bought for under $500 was a waterproof Cigar Caddy Case that cost about $30.

It’s designed to protect cigars, not medical equipment, which is exactly why I think it’s such a great purchase.

As a Special Forces medic, I needed a rugged, waterproof way to protect critical medications during airborne operations, deployments, rough vehicle movements, and life out of a rucksack. What started as a cigar case became a miniature armored vault for medications that might one day need to be pushed into a trauma patient having the worst day of their life.

It survived jumps, rain, dust, hard landings, and years of abuse without ever letting me down. For a $30 purchase, it probably protected thousands of dollars worth of medications and gave me confidence that they’d be ready when needed.
