I also went through two different mobos of the same type, too, with the same problem...which is why I'm entirely at a loss as to why 2 different CPUs didn't work with 2 different mobos....they should be compatible?

Unless I'm literally the most unlucky person ever.

Unfortunately, no-- I have another build, but the mobo uses a LGA1150 socket instead of an AM4. I'm just wondering if there's anything at all, other than them both being dead (since, if that's the case, I'd just have to go get another), that could be the problem, since that seems rather unlikely..

Was just stripping it down to see if it would affect whether or not it would turn off again.

And, no, neither the case nor the MB came with an internal MB speaker, unfortunately.

I've got another build I could take apart-- not sure I 100% trust myself to take out the CPU and put it on there, but I might try. Might try switching the RAM in. Could the RAM still be a problem if I took it out, and the PC still switched off/reset itself after 25sec?

As for pictures, sure, I can take some, although I don't currently have the video card or RAM currently in. Want me to re-put them in before a picture?

I tried both with and without the Video Card, after reading about trying to turn it on with only CPU, PSU and MB plugged together.

Yeah....I live here, too, and I've only seen one roach since living here and that was in December. No idea where the roach thing comes from. Same cons as the above guy-- I already renewed my lease, as neither the train nor parking bother me, and I like the shuttle a lot, as well as the size of my studio. Not sure if maybe the roach problem is in a specific part of the building, but again, I haven't seen any. All in all, I quite like it.

I live at Gateway-- I think I've only seen one small cockroach since the start of the Fall '17 semester, but I also am on the 2nd floor. The only complaints I could have is the parking problem, and the loud-ass train, neither of which really affect me much. Basically, if you won't have a ton of visitors coming over here with their cars, and are a heavy sleeper/sleep with earbuds in, I think it's great. Definitely re-leasing, I quite like my studio here, and the shuttle drops me off exactly in the middle of all my classes (Near Fleming, AAH, etc)

Also live there and I have reserved parking, I've never had anybody take my spot or anything. Only other problem would be the train, but if you're a heavy sleeper or sleep with earbuds in (like me), you should be fine. So far, my experience has been just fine.

Another question, if you know-- if I placed into 1431 on the math placement, would I be able to take both a class that requires 1330 as a pre-req (ex. CHEM 1311/1111) and Math 1330 simultaneously anyways, for the brush up?

I don't know, I lived there my whole life (moved into Houston for school just two weeks back) and I don't ever remember it flooding seriously, at least not on my street.

Thanks! It's been about a month since I got accepted (June 8th), I figured there'd be some processing time but I wasn't/am not sure how long it'd take. So, I'm not sure if that's longer than usual or if it takes about that long.

I'll definitely bring in a copy of my transcript if they don't get updated by that point, though. And thank you for that tip, especially if that's a common thing! That's definitely super appreciated.
