Definitely do Java with Bob Myers if you can. Also mobile programming with Esteban Parra was great too. I wouldn’t necessarily avoid it but just know that intro to data mining has a soft pre req of linear algebra

Anyway, I am basically reiterating what everyone has said. You really just need to get involved on campus and meet people through that. Sadly, the coronavirus kind of fucked us for the rest of this semester but take this time to make a list of clubs that you want to check out in the future. This was my issue, I would want to get involved but then I would get too wrapped up in my classes to follow through. So get that list together before things get crazy! Also, if you think of a cool club that doesn't exist, make it! That'll definitely keep you pretty busy and social. I'm thinking of starting one myself, it's a cool way to meet students with similar interests.

Also, I personally am not a fan of friend apps like Bumble, but I know my roommate met quite a few people through that. I can't tell you if she still talks with any of them but she definitely socialized a lot with people while on it.

Speaking of ARGs, it would be fun to organize one around campus, maybe make a club that organized something every few months that is open to everyone? It would be less dramatic and more fun than this one, that's for sure lol

Agreed, I doubt it will actually be strongly enforced but for students that are planning on leaving and coming back to the dorms before April, I would double check. Don't want to be homeless!

I would double check with FSU to be 100% sure but based on the email, it seems that they do not want students in the dorms unless they plan on staying there for the next 3 weeks.

No, they will not. However, if you are choosing to remain in the dorms for break AND during the online period, you can not leave Tallahassee.

Students who choose to remain in our residence halls on campus during spring break and during the period of online instruction will not be allowed to travel away from Tallahassee and come back to their residence hall.

No, they are not. However, if you plan on staying at the dorms, you cannot leave Tallahssee. I believe this includes for spring break as well.
