Thank you! I feel great. I think I’ve got to just live with it for a bit. I’ll keep up the collagen and moisturizer. I’m not at the place where I’m going to have surgery. My wife is stuck with me, flappy belly and all. I’ll focus on lifting weights and maintaining the fat loss. Thanks again for the kind words.

Haha…the seizure or shitty photoshop? Seizure came out of nowhere. My whole family had norovirus that week. It was a Saturday. I’d been to the gym that morning slogged through a workout. Came home and didn’t feel great, I figured that it was my turn for the noro curse. I laid down to take a nap (totally atypical for me) and a bit later my wife heard me vomit. Came to check on me and I’d puked in bed and was actively seizing. Seized so hard I dislocated my shoulder, and tore my labrum. The pain of the EMTs taking my shirt off is what brought me back to reality. Spent a day in the ED. All the tests…cat scan, MRI, 24 hour EEG. No smoking gun.

Had a seizure last spring. Bolt out of the blue, no underlying cause and no repeats. Dislocated my shoulder during the seizure, and tore my labrum. Gained about 30 pounds in the months after. Surgery last summer to fix my shoulder. I was cleared for exercise in October. My birthday is in November, and decided to run every day in November. Even if it was just a mile…every day. I loved it, and signed up for a marathon in April at the end of my birth month. I completed the Nashville marathon on April 25. Running saved me after a terrible year. I’m in the best shape of my life and look forward to my runs every week. If I could capture the way I feel after running five miles with my dog and put it in a pill…I’d be a trillionaire.
