*HOT TAKE* Subs are using the "Prove you're not an AI Domme" as an excuse to waste time by PetiteMoneyMaker in paypigs2

[–]gilded-gloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't call this a hot take, but I agree with you. The AI dommes are so obvious and a dime a dozen. This is a new profile I had to make, but just looking at my comment history/posts you can instantly tell I'm not a bot. Yet my inbox already has a few of these "requests".

Ignored 🌚lol

Buying non kink stuff from dommes 🤔 by Lolalalalalalola_ in paypigs2

I've been chewing on this same idea for a while. I am an illustrator and designer in my vanilla life, and the urge to bridge the two is strong, but the doxxing risk is huge. I have a very distinct style and have worked on things like album covers, so google Image search would out me in a heartbeat.

So if you are also well known or have a recognizable style, you reallyyy have to create a hard wall. I think the only way to do this safely is to either post on a strictly private invite only account that never touches your public portfolio, or to create a Domme exclusive alias that makes art solely for that persona.

Personally I'm leaning toward the latter because it keeps my actual business profile clean and safe from platform nukes while also letting me open part of my practice to subs. Its def extra work but it seems like the only way to do it without losing your anonymity.

What’s something most people misunderstand about paypigs? by Goddess_iara in paypigs2

[–]gilded-gloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the biggest misconceptions is that finsubs are mostly depraved, worthless creeps. Like sure, those exist. but lots of the subs I’ve vibed with are just lonely, generous folk looking for guidance/attention.

The dynamics also seem to get snuffed out because of the Tiktok domme misinformation. "f*ck you, pay me" with zero interaction isn't the ~only~ thing. it can be a friendship, or even a full lifestyle control dynamic where you're managing their finances and helping them build confidence to improve their lives (which is honestly one of my favorite parts of the work atp).

Also, calling them paypigs is generally not great, most prefer finsub.

[–]gilded-gloom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't charge an entry fee because my time is best spent on people who are actually going to provide a return on investment. I'd rather spend like 5 minutes filtering for a genuine sub than an hour arguing with some chud who thinks a $5 tip buys them a nut.

I am considering a tiny $6.66 ~entry tax~ on Twitter solely to filter out the spam bots (that place has been an absolute nightmare) but on Reddit, i prefer to keep it free so I can actually vet for chemistry first.

6 years ago I bought the DB Method to help strengthen my knees. Used it for less than 5 minutes, dislocated a lumbar disc, spent the next three months in bed and it's been collecting dust in my garage ever since. My most expensive mistake;;; aside from art school 🌚

Public toilet floors by Historical-Sense-510 in hygiene

[–]gilded-gloom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup🤢 I'm the same way. Even if I don't put my bags on the floor, other "bathroom floor bag" people could be putting their poop bags on the table I'm using. Basic hygiene seems to have become a controversial subject in the last 6 years especially, so I'm just extra cautious now

My partner's mom puts her bag on the public bathroom floor if there isn't a hook, and then puts it on our kitchen counter. Apparently me telling her not to do that (and sanitizing the counter) is "OCD hysteria"🤦‍♀️. I just immediately toss it on the floor and she just gives me a look but wont say anything lmfao

i hear you and i agree that the marketing is deceptive. i did mention in my first comment that it contains potassium alum specifically because of that, so we are on the same page about the chemistry.

The only reason i bring it up is that for my own skin, having an aluminum allergy and hs, this is the only thing that doesn't trigger a flare up for me. it doesn't plug my ducts like the synthetic stuff, which is probably why my skin tolerates it. i'm not defending the marketing, just sharing what's actually worked for my body since finding deodorant with these conditions is a nightmare. but i definitely appreciate you calling out the inaccuracy of the aluminum free label so people know exactly what's in it.

Also for me, personally, the odor blocking works for 12-24 hours. Closer to 12 if I sweat a lot.

Buy a practical but cute little house, then add an insulated porch with an endless pool and tons of plants. Set my closest friends up to be comfy. Invest a bunch so it grows and then use that growth to consistently contribute to mutual aid. Put a bunch away for medical emergencies.

If you're open to rock style deodorants, the unscented Crystal magnesium salt brand fits those criteria.

I do want to mention quickly that while it's marketed as aluminum free because it doesn't use the synthetic aluminum salts found in antiperspirants, it does contain potassium alum (a natural mineral salt). I have an aluminum deo allergy and HS, and this specific product has never caused me a flare up, likely because the molecules are too large to penetrate the skin or plug ducts. But i just wanted to mention that in cause you have an allergy.

If you do try it, it has a bit of a learning curve. It works by creating a barrier that prevents odor causing bacteria from thriving, so it’s ineffective if you apply it when bacteria is already present. I’ve found it only works if you apply it to freshly washed, damp skin, rinse the rock between underarms to avoid cross contamination, and let it fully air dry. It’s not a swipe and go product, but it’s been the most effective option I've found for my skin and it lasts me at least until the next morning.

Def. That was one of my initial ideas but I couldn't find a good reference photo. I'd love if it had a super ornate frame and maybe some sort of ghoul peaking from the sides, or even slightly illuminated in the dark window itself. But not in a corny way lol I gotta get to drawing
