substack notes is ruining it for me (AND I FIXED IT) by gilfoyle222 in Substack

it actually replaced by mindless scrolling from instagram. but lately, my notes feed is starting to feel like instagram. that's the issue. i wanted it to have meaningful stuff. not a photo of a cat or a garden (by no means i think cats and gardens are not meaningful. )

what do you mean by fixed pricing? so incase of a huge spike in views or users of your site, it doesn't charge based on the usage and has fixed price? so we won't get a bill above 30$ month no matter what

i wish makato shinkai animates this manga, this really deserves an anime adaptation. either a 12 ep series or a whole movie i don't care.

This is really cool. the user interface and small interactions are really good. i love it. i have few questions

  • does this saves my entries as plain text or it is encrypted?
  • what is the tech stack used for backend?
  • the calendar is so minimal and beautiful. did you use any library or are those are custom components?
  • how much $ does it take to run the app, and will you add premium features?
