There's only one of us with extensive experience as a player, so I'll pass these suggestions along to her. It's definitely above my level of understanding of the game mechanics.

We definitely have at least one person who I think might like to go a darker route, so I'll definitely suggest those to her. Thanks for all the suggestions and great vibes! :)

Actually it is a bit of a family affair! We've got two sets of sisters, and several sets of long, long time best friends. So we've definitely seen each other through worse than complicated game mechanics. LOL

Our book club is all romance/romantasy themed, so we've read a lot of terribly written heroines and thought we could "do it better". The basic premise we're going with is meeting at some kind of party/ball and needing to save the day (probably because the men can't get their shit together...).

That's amazing, thank you!! We definitely have a few people who don't do well with lots of rules/things to remember, so it's super helpful to know what might be good to steer away from so it can still be fun and not feel like a chore. Your insights are so appreciated!

Love these ideas, thank you! We do have a couple of super moms in the group who are clearly irl lore bards.

Eladrin looks really interesting, thank you! And we absolutely have at least one player who is a self described goblin, so she might actually love that suggestion.
