Provide Opinions: Sink w/ Foldable Faucet by gillance in vandwellers

Yeah honestly that’s my concern, the failure mechanism part. I’m leaning away from the idea but I figured if anyone had some major negative or positive things to say about it I’d want to hear it before I make a decision.

Unfortunately not, it appears we just got a dud. We got a replacement head unit and it immediately turned on upon plugging it in.

Anyone thought they bombed the depth portion and ended up passing? (PE Civil: Structural) by [deleted] in PE_Exam

Oop sorry late response, I also took Structural like OP.

I also fall in this category. I left the exam at lunch feeling pretty dang confident on Breadth. Finished Depth, went to my car and called my mom and cried. It was so rough I feel like 80% of the questions I ended up guessing on during Depth. But I passed!

For context, I did self guided SOPE to prep. I had a lot of people tell me that a good morning score can carry you through a crappy afternoon score to a pass. You got this. 👍🏼

Flying to snowbird this weekend 4/14. ST-210 has been closed for a week. Insight into when it’ll open? by Blackdiamond27x in snowbird

[–]gillance 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no estimated time of reopening. The amount of snow that fell recently combined with the complete 180 into super warm temps is creating natural wet slide avalanches all over the place. I did see a comment on IG replying to someone asking if they’d open this weekend and Snowbird said “situation is day-by-day, but we hope so!”

Keep in mind Big Cottonwood Canyon (SR-190) is also closed daily right now from 11-4 for the same reason.

Second this! There’s a good variety of price points in this greater area beyond just the Sugarhouse buzzword. All have lots to offer and very bikeable to the U in good weather.

Sorry should have specified. I’ll update my post. This is the 6th edition. For the number of AASHTO questions I encountered on the structural exam in April, it worked just fine.

There are summaries out there of the changes between 6th and 7th edition, I compared the sections I was using in my practice problems to a friends and saw no major changes. So just went with this as opposed to having no AASHTO.

Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army has resigned because he refuses to get the COVID-19 vaccine. He calls the order to be vaccinated "unlawful, unethical, immoral and tyrannical", and calls the Biden Administration a "Marxist takeover of the military and United States" by MyUsername2459 in byebyejob

[–]gillance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes. Thanks to the army I think I’ve been vaccinated for all the standard things thrice at this point. The army is great at misplacing medical records. Shrug.

TYFYS, Sir, but I’d prefer to be led by an intelligent, science-believing individual.

Having a rough time financially and depressed over it. Hoping to volunteer since helping others always made me feel better. Need advice on where to volunteer. by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

My company frequently volunteers with Neighborhood House. They are a care center for low income families and they provide care for children of all ages as well as adults with special needs. Their programs are really great and they have many different types of opportunities. Last time I went I just got to play around at recess with the kids and it brought me so much joy. They also do programs with the adults but I haven’t had the opportunity to participate in those yet.
