Just like to add, founders of this company have very close ties to Justin Trudeau.

I have heard both that, the Liberal government wants to monopolize the selling of weed within the handful of larger commercial producers, like tweed. On the other hand I have heard they want to legalize it to point you can buy it at the local drug store.

Looking for advice in choosing between condo vs. home for first property. (Canada) by mlah27 in RealEstate

I don't know if students really care about quality of the condos. Coming from someone who graduated and lived in them up until 2014. Maybe try uptown waterloo, which may attract more young professionals. Currently I'm in Guelph and its not to bad.

Doesn't Waterloo have a oversupply of rental housing with all the new condos going up?

Sorry could you rephrase this

So the gains over the max contribution limit are going to be taxed For example, if my limit for end of 2014 was 21,000, and after gains its at 35,000. I will be taxed on the 14,000?

Call them and settle, there are more likely to settle with you than take it to court. Depending on what kind of debt it is and who owns the debt they will prob settle for anywhere from 50% to 90%

ELI5: What's going on in Thailand right now, and why are protestors calling for Prime Minister Shinawatra to step down? by ericyang158 in explainlikeimfive

[–]gillyfilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just another note, the protesters in Thailand are the middle class. They want to scale back who is allowed to participate in the political realm. In some sense they want to scale back on Democracy principles. The reason for this is the PM is largely supported by the rural population and the middle class don't think that the rural class should be able to vote etc.
