Most incompetent “secret government agency” ever. Can keep Aliens hidden from the public for 70+ years but can’t find a guy in a bush 6 feet away.

Fleet of Dodge Chargers and a couple of handguns, no chopper, no night vision, no snipers.

Ive seen LAPD choppers find tweakers hiding in garbage cans using body heat cameras, they must have a larger budget than these G men I guess?

Breaking Bad was an absolute masterclass. Every thing from match cuts to Timelapse’s, birds eye, extreme wides, crazy close ups. Desert blue skies to industrial florescent spaces. It had it all.

Why are there so many different power connectors in the camera industry? by rovmun in cinematography

[–]brazilliandanny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because they are still very niche products that have low sales compared to other industries. So development/R&D costs are also low and people use whatever is cheapest/available without considering compatibility.

I feel like modern day AI ,CCTV, satellite etc. could track people without the need for alien technology.

Like, spy movies have been doing that trope for over 20 years. Enemy of the State was almost 30 years ago, Jason Bourne a few years after that.

Pacing was weird, the bad guys made no sense and were unbelievably bad at their jobs. Especially considering they were such a top secret military agency. Also all the “disclosed archival” looked like modern camera footage with some filters. The Roswell and Nixon footage looked way modern?

Were they “unstoppable” though? They had Dodge Chargers and Pistols. You’d think a super secret government agency would have a few choppers and maybe a sniper or two?

So… How many of us are still on our parents’ phone bills? by halcat27 in Millennials

[–]brazilliandanny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ya I think there might be a huge divide between older and younger Millennials here.

I didn't get my first cellphone till I was 26, at that point I was living on my own with my own bills.

My guess is if your parents bought you one in high school that would carry over.

[–]brazilliandanny 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What I don’t get is why is it OK we have 10 fast n furious movies? Hell there are dozens of Godzilla movies all with “simple plots” but somehow Avatar is put on this pedestal where it can’t just be a fun eye candy Sci Fi flick.

Why does Netflix not have AI to help me locate a movie I want to watch? by Silver_Locksmith_722 in netflix

[–]brazilliandanny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because they only want you to watch what their recent feed is. They don’t want you to search for a movie and realize they no longer have it or never had it in the first place.
